• Control X4 monitoring and control core: The included Control X4 provides four Sense Ports, two pH/ORP Probe Ports, two 12V Drive Ports, 0-10V input and output capability, and two Command Bus ports. This gives the package a broad mix of monitoring and control options from the start.
• Control XP8 energy bar/controller: The included XP8 provides eight individually controlled 120V AC outlets for aquarium equipment such as heaters, lights, return pumps, skimmers, UV sterilizers, and other life-support devices. It functions as more than a simple power bar because it is also part of the HYDROS control system.
• Individual AC outlet monitoring: Each XP8 outlet has individual power monitoring capability, helping the system track how connected equipment is behaving. This is useful for identifying unexpected power draw, equipment failures, or devices that are not operating normally.

Compatibility and Application Notes

The X4/XP8 Pro Pack is best suited for aquariums that need a larger control foundation from the start. It is a strong option for systems using multiple heaters, return pumps, skimmers, lights, sensors, pH/ORP probes, ATO equipment, fans, solenoids, and 0-10V compatible devices. It does not include a salinity probe port, so conductivity or salinity monitoring requires a compatible HYDROS salinity-capable controller or accessory.

Setting Up Your HYDROS X4/XP8 Pro Pack

Download the HYDROS app, register the Control X4 and Control XP8, connect them using the included Command Bus cable and terminators, then connect the system to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. Mount both units in elevated, protected locations with proper drip loops, complete any firmware updates, then configure the temperature sensor, pH probe, AC outlets, Sense Ports, Drive Ports, 0-10V ports, alerts, schedules, and any additional HYDROS accessories needed for the aquarium.
