Hydros Control X10

HYDROS Control X10 Advanced Controller Overview

The dosing heads can manage two-part solutions, trace elements, liquid foods, water-change routines, or alkalinity-related workflows, while the Sense Ports can support safety and monitoring accessories such as temperature probes, optical level sensors, leak detectors, flow sensors, and TDS monitoring. Expanded X10 Dosing and Monitoring Features

• Four independent stepper dosing pumps: The Control X10 includes four integrated fluid-metering stepper pumps for precise liquid dosing. This makes it suitable for two-part supplementation, trace elements, liquid food additives, automated water-change support, and other dosing routines where repeatable delivery matters.
• Dedicated salinity probe port: The X10 includes one Salinity Probe Port for conductivity-based salinity monitoring when used with the required HYDROS Salinity Probe Kit. This is especially useful for marine and reef aquariums where salinity stability is critical.
• pH or ORP probe monitoring: The pH/ORP Probe Port allows the X10 to monitor pH or ORP with a compatible probe. The included pH probe and calibration solutions give users a practical starting point for tracking pH trends and aquarium stability.
• Four universal Sense Ports: The four Sense Ports support compatible HYDROS sensors including temperature probes, optical level sensors, capacitive non-contact liquid level sensors, leak detectors, flow rate sensors, and TDS monitoring. This gives the X10 broad monitoring flexibility beyond dosing and probe input.
• Two switched Drive Ports: Drive Ports provide 12V DC output for compatible accessories such as ATO pumps, dosing pumps, cooling fans, cabinet LEDs, solenoids, steering valves, relays, stirrers, and HYDROS iV integration. This adds low-voltage control without using AC outlets for every small accessory.
• Command Bus connectivity: Command Bus allows the X10 to communicate with and power compatible HYDROS devices. This supports a more resilient control network when multiple HYDROS controllers are combined into a Collective.
• Control up to eight WiFi devices: The HYDROS app can control up to eight compatible WiFi devices such as HYDROS power strips, smart plugs, and feeders. This lets the X10 expand into outlet control even though AC outlets are not built directly into the controller body.

X10 Compatibility and Application Notes

The Hydros Control X10 is best suited for systems that need integrated dosing plus broad monitoring from one controller. It is a strong fit for reef aquariums using two-part dosing, trace elements, pH monitoring, salinity monitoring, water-level sensors, leak detection, and future HYDROS expansion. The salinity probe kit is required for salinity monitoring and is not included. HYDROS WiFi Power Strips, XP8, or Smart Plugs are required if AC outlet control is needed.

Setting Up Your HYDROS Control X10

Mount the Control X10 in a dry, elevated location with space for tubing, cables, and drip loops. Download the HYDROS app, register the controller, connect it to WiFi, and complete firmware updates if prompted. Configure the included pH probe and temperature sensor, calibrate the dosing heads using the included calibration beaker, route the four dosing tubes clearly, and assign each dosing head, Sense Port, Drive Port, probe input, alert, and schedule in the app. Add the X10 to a HYDROS Collective when it will share control with other HYDROS devices.
