HiBlow HP 100 Long Life Air Pump
HiBlow HP 100 Long Life Aeration for Demanding Systems
The HiBlow HP 100 Long Life Air Pump is designed for installations where continuous airflow, increased pressure capability and dependable long-term operation are essential. Identified by HiBlow as the HP-100LL, this linear diaphragm pump is well suited to pond aeration, aquaculture, commercial aquarium systems, fish rooms, biological filtration and other applications that operate around the clock.
The HP 100 Long Life produces up to 130 litres per minute and delivers approximately 100 litres per minute at its rated loading pressure of 17.7 kPa on 60 Hz power. A maximum continuous operating pressure of 30 kPa provides additional operating headroom for deeper diffusers, longer airline runs and higher-resistance aeration systems.
Long Life Efficiency and Serviceability
- Long Life model engineering: Built for continuous applications that prioritize durability, pressure performance and extended service.
- High maximum airflow: Produces up to 130 L/min under low-pressure conditions.
- Strong rated output: Delivers approximately 100 L/min at 17.7 kPa on 60 Hz power.
- Higher operating-pressure capacity: Supports continuous system pressures up to 30 kPa when correctly installed.
- Efficient high-output performance: Consumes only 75 watts while providing substantial airflow under load.
- Oil-free air delivery: Linear diaphragm operation requires no oil within the pumping mechanism.
- Thermal overload protection: Integrated protection helps safeguard the pump against excessive operating temperature.
- Serviceable internal components: Replaceable wear parts allow the pump to be maintained instead of discarded after normal diaphragm wear.

System Matching for the HP 100 Long Life
The HP-100LL should be matched to the total pressure and airflow requirements of the completed system rather than selected by outlet count alone. Diffuser depth, tubing length, airline diameter, manifold design and diffuser resistance all contribute to backpressure.
Use adequately sized main tubing for long runs and split the airflow close to the aeration area whenever practical. When multiple diffusers are connected, position them at similar depths or use individual ball valves to balance airflow without closing off an excessive portion of the pump's output.
Maximum airflow is measured with minimal resistance and will not be delivered at the same time as maximum pressure. The system should be designed around the HP-100LL performance curve and must remain below its 30 kPa maximum continuous operating pressure.
HiBlow HP 100 Long Life Installation Directions
Install the pump upright on a stable and level base in a dry location with unrestricted ventilation. Do not submerge the unit or expose it directly to rain, spray or standing water. Use a ventilated weather-resistant enclosure when installing the pump near a pond or other outdoor water feature.
Attach the supplied outlet connector and connect suitably sized airline. Avoid long runs of undersized tubing, sharp bends and unnecessary fittings. Install the pump above the water level whenever possible or add an appropriate check valve to reduce the risk of water entering the pump through the discharge line.
Open the required valves before applying power and verify airflow at every diffuser. Inspect the filter, tubing and diffusers regularly. A significant reduction in airflow or an unusual operating sound should be investigated promptly rather than allowing the pump to operate against an obstruction.
