Eshopps Prodigy External Overflow - Medium
Eshopps Prodigy Medium Ultra-Slim Overflow
The Eshopps Prodigy External Overflow - Medium provides efficient surface skimming and sump drainage while occupying only 5/8 inch of space inside the aquarium. Its exceptionally slim internal weir preserves valuable swimming and aquascaping room while the clear external overflow box keeps the drain plumbing outside the display.
Designed for aquariums from 20 to 70 gallons with flow rates up to 700 GPH, the Prodigy Medium includes an adjustable water-height weir, recessed external cover and separate primary and safety drain connections. The included template and diamond hole saw provide the core components required to install the overflow on a suitable aquarium panel.

Prodigy Medium Installation and Plumbing Notes
The Prodigy Medium requires drilling one transfer opening through the aquarium panel. Confirm that the selected glass panel is non-tempered and suitable for drilling before beginning. Tempered aquarium glass must not be drilled.
The overflow should be positioned according to the desired operating-water level while leaving sufficient clearance behind the aquarium for the external box, cover and drain plumbing. The connected return pump should remain within the 700 GPH maximum flow rating after head-pressure loss.
The two 1-inch drains can be arranged as a controlled primary drain and an unrestricted safety drain. Always test the system with the primary drain restricted to confirm that the backup drain can safely manage the aquarium flow.
Eshopps Prodigy Medium Installation Directions
Use the supplied template to establish the overflow position and confirm that the internal and external boxes will clear the aquarium trim, stand and surrounding equipment. Follow the complete Eshopps installation instructions when drilling the suitable aquarium panel.
Install the transfer bulkhead and gaskets with the internal weir and external box properly aligned. Fit the two 1-inch drain bulkheads, install the red safety standpipe and connect the required drain plumbing. Adjust the internal weir to establish the desired display-water height.
Test the completed system with fresh water before normal aquarium operation. Confirm leak-free connections, safe return-pump shutdown and sufficient backup-drain capacity before leaving the overflow unattended.
