Product Description
DVH NP Reducing Biopellets (1000ml)
DVH NP Reducing Biopellets (1000ml) are biodegradable solid carbon media for marine aquariums that need long-term nitrate and phosphate control. The larger container is useful for bigger reef systems, heavier feeding schedules, or aquarists who run biopellets continuously as part of their filtration routine.
More Solid Carbon Media for Larger Reef Systems
The 1000ml size provides enough media for larger reactors, staged startup dosing, and future top-ups as the pellets are slowly consumed by bacteria. It is a practical choice for established reef aquariums, coral systems, and marine tanks where consistent nutrient export is needed over time.
Biological Nutrient Reduction Through Bacterial Immobilization
- Original NP reducing biopellet media for marine and reef aquariums.
- Made from 100% biodegradable polymers with no fillers or antioxidants.
- Supports bacterial conversion of nitrate and phosphate into removable biomass.
- Helps control nutrient levels that can contribute to nuisance algae growth.
- Designed for fluidized reactors or high-flow canister sections.
- Pairs best with strong protein skimming and reliable oxygen exchange.
1000ml Reactor Dosing and Long-Term Top-Up Notes
- Container size: 1000ml.
- Media type: Biodegradable polymer biopellets.
- Typical starting dosage: Approximately 50ml per 100L of aquarium water.
- Typical working range: Gradually increase toward 100-150ml per 100L depending on nutrient levels and livestock response.
- Pellet life: Add new pellets every 6-12 months or when reactor volume decreases.
- Best fit: Larger marine aquariums, reef systems, high-bioload tanks, and ongoing nutrient-control setups.
Fluidizing NP Reducing Pellets for Stable Performance
Place the pellets in a dedicated biopellet reactor or high-flow filter section and adjust flow so the media tumbles without clumping. Begin with a partial dose on established aquariums and increase slowly while monitoring nitrate, phosphate, pH, oxygen, and livestock response. Route the outlet near the skimmer intake to help export excess bacteria. Maintain strong aeration and avoid rapid nutrient reduction in systems with sensitive corals.
