DVH All-in-One Biopellets (500ml)
DVH All-in-One Biopellets (500ml) are advanced biodegradable biopellets for marine and reef aquariums that need controlled nitrate reduction with measured phosphate interaction. The media supports bacterial nutrient processing in a fluidized reactor, helping convert dissolved waste into bacterial biomass that can be exported by protein skimming.
Advanced Biopellet Media for Reef Nutrient Control
The All-in-One formula is designed for aquarists who want a more developed biopellet approach than standard solid carbon media. Its microporous pellet structure supports bacterial colonization internally and externally, helping the reactor become an active biological nutrient export zone once the bacterial population develops.
Nitrate Management Without Daily Liquid Carbon Dosing
- Advanced biopellet media for marine and reef aquarium nutrient control.
- Supports nitrifying and denitrifying bacterial activity on and within the pellet structure.
- Helps reduce nitrate while using phosphate as part of bacterial processing.
- Works through biological immobilization of nitrate and phosphate into bacterial biomass.
- Best used in a dedicated fluidized biopellet reactor with steady tumble.
- Reactor outlet should be directed near a protein skimmer intake for bacterial export and gas exchange.
500ml All-in-One Capacity and Dosing Range
- Container size: 500ml.
- Media type: Advanced biodegradable polymer biopellets.
- Recommended dosage range: 35-150ml per 100L or 25 gallons of aquarium water.
- Startup period: Allow approximately 2-6 weeks for bacterial populations to develop.
- Best use: Marine aquariums, reef systems, heavily fed coral tanks, and nutrient-control reactors.
- Pellet replacement: Add more pellets as volume decreases or nitrate begins to rise.
Reactor Setup and Gradual Start Directions
Place the pellets in a fluidized biopellet reactor with enough flow to keep them moving without grinding them down. Start with a partial dose, especially if nitrate is above 20 ppm, then increase gradually over several weeks while testing nitrate and phosphate. Direct the reactor outlet toward the protein skimmer intake whenever possible. Maintain strong aeration and do not use biopellets without sufficient oxygen exchange, as oxygen and pH can drop in poorly aerated systems, especially overnight.
