Product Description
CarbonDoser Electronic CO2 Regulator
CarbonDoser Electronic CO2 Regulator is a high-precision electronic CO2 regulator for freshwater planted aquariums and saltwater calcium reactors. Instead of relying on a traditional needle valve, the CarbonDoser uses an electronic solenoid system to deliver consistent CO2 pulses with exceptional repeatability and control.
CarbonDoser Electronic CO2 Regulator for Planted Tanks and Calcium Reactors
Premium CO2 control: The CarbonDoser is designed for aquarists who need stable, repeatable CO2 dosing for demanding applications. In planted aquariums, it helps deliver controlled CO2 for plant growth. In reef systems, it gives calcium reactor users precise CO2 adjustment for maintaining reactor performance and alkalinity stability.
Electronic bubble rate control: Traditional needle valve regulators can drift as cylinder pressure, output pressure, or surrounding conditions change. CarbonDoser replaces that manual needle valve approach with an electronic valve that opens and closes in timed pulses, helping maintain a more consistent bubble rate after it has been set.
CarbonDoser V2.0 Electronic Solenoid Control Features
- No needle valve required: Electronic solenoid control replaces the traditional needle valve used on many CO2 regulators.
- Highly repeatable dosing: Solenoid timing is accurate to +/- 1/1000 of a second.
- Wide adjustment range: Bubble rate can be adjusted from approximately 4.66 bubbles per second down to 1 bubble every 10 seconds.
- LED bubble indicator: Visual indicator helps confirm each electronic CO2 pulse.
- 1/4" John Guest push-connect fitting: Makes CO2 tubing connection cleaner and easier.
- Precision check valve included: Helps protect the regulator and electronic components from back-siphoning water.
- Controller compatible: Listed compatibility includes Neptune, HYDROS, GHL, and PinPoint control systems.

CarbonDoser Setup Directions for Aquarium CO2 Systems
Install carefully before use: Attach the regulator securely to a compatible CO2 cylinder and confirm that the sealing washer or perma-seal component is properly installed. Do not use Teflon tape on the cylinder connection threads unless the regulator instructions specifically require it. Keep the cylinder upright and secured before opening the valve.
Leak test first: With the regulator adjustment knob fully closed, slowly open the CO2 cylinder valve and note the pressure reading. Close the cylinder valve and wait several minutes. If the pressure drops, remove and reseat the regulator connection before repeating the test. After confirming the connection is sealed, connect the downstream tubing, check valve, and aquarium CO2 equipment.
Adjust gradually: Start with a low CO2 rate and increase slowly. Use the CarbonDoser dial to adjust how often CO2 pulses are released, and use the regulator pressure adjustment to change bubble size. Monitor pH, livestock behaviour, plant response, or calcium reactor performance closely after setup. Too much CO2 can harm aquarium livestock, so make changes slowly and observe the system carefully.
