Product Description
BSI Slow Cure Epoxy - 30min - 4.5oz
BSI Slow Cure Epoxy - 30min - 4.5oz is a high-strength two-part epoxy adhesive with extended working time, waterproof performance, and added heat resistance for stronger bonds, large bonding areas, laminating, and reinforcing fillets.
BSI Slow-Cure 30 Minute 4.5 oz High-Strength Epoxy
Slow-Cure is BSI’s strongest epoxy formula and is designed for projects where extra working time, careful alignment, and maximum bond strength matter more than speed. The longer open time makes it easier to position parts accurately and work larger areas before the epoxy begins to set.
Extended Working Time Epoxy for Fillets Laminating and Large Bonds
- 30 minute two-part epoxy formula with extended working time.
- Highest-strength epoxy in the BSI epoxy line according to BSI.
- Waterproof and more heat resistant than faster BSI epoxy formulas.
- Excellent for reinforcing fillets, laminating, larger bonding areas, and high-load bonds.
- Equal-part 1:1 mix ratio supports dependable curing.
- Can be mixed with fillers such as microballoons to create a putty-like consistency.
- Useful for porous surfaces and projects that need time for accurate positioning.
Slow Cure Epoxy Planning and Aquarium Project Notes
Slow-Cure is best used when the project can be left undisturbed while it develops strength. For aquarium hobby use, confirm the repair location and exposure conditions before use, and allow a complete cure before any water contact or load-bearing use.
BSI Slow Cure Epoxy Directions
- Prepare clean dry surfaces before mixing epoxy.
- Dispense equal parts resin and hardener.
- Mix thoroughly until the epoxy is uniform.
- Apply to the bonding area, joint, laminate, or fillet location.
- Position parts carefully during the longer working window.
- Clamp or support the project as needed while the epoxy cures.
- Allow full cure before sanding, loading, or exposing the bond to service conditions.
