Product Description
Aquatic Life Float Valve & Solenoid Kit
Aquatic Life Float Valve & Solenoid Kit is an automatic shut-off float valve kit for filling tanks, containers, reservoirs, and aquariums from compatible RO or RO/DI systems.
Aquatic Life Float Valve & Solenoid Kit for Automatic RO/DI Reservoir Filling
This kit is designed to help stop RO or RO/DI water flow when the container reaches the set water level. It is useful for aquarium top-off reservoirs, water-change containers, mixing bins, and storage vessels where a mechanical float shut-off can help prevent overfilling when the system is installed and monitored correctly.
Automatic Shut-Off Float Valve with Check Valve and RO Tubing Connections
- Allows large tanks, containers, and aquariums to fill automatically from a compatible RO or RO/DI system.
- Includes the auto shut-off valve, check valve, and tubing needed for standard RO/DI float-valve installation.
- Adjustable float is threaded with a 1/2 in. MPT connection.
- Included 1/2 in. FPT to press-fit adapter connects the float to standard 1/4 in. reverse osmosis tubing.
- Check valve helps prevent backflow in the RO/DI line.
- Pressure range is 40-80 PSI according to J&L’s listing.
- Useful for RO water storage containers, aquarium top-off reservoirs, and mixing-station containers.
Aquatic Life Float Valve Kit Installation and Safety Notes
Install the float valve where the water level can rise freely and the float cannot be blocked by tubing, container walls, salt creep, debris, or other equipment. A float valve is a shut-off aid, not a substitute for checking the system regularly. Test the shut-off function in a supervised setup before leaving any reservoir to fill unattended.
Aquatic Life Float Valve & Solenoid Kit Setup Directions
- Choose a reservoir or container location where the float can move freely.
- Install the float valve at the desired water level using the threaded connection.
- Connect the RO/DI tubing using the included press-fit adapter and tubing components.
- Install the check valve and auto shut-off valve according to the Aquatic Life instructions.
- Turn on source water slowly and inspect every tubing connection for leaks.
- Allow the container to fill under supervision and confirm the float shuts off water flow at the correct level.
- Check the float valve and tubing regularly for salt creep, debris, movement, or wear.
