Product Description
Aquascape Construction Epoxy - Coralline Color
Aquascape Construction Epoxy - Coralline Color is a two-part underwater epoxy putty for reef aquariums, marine aquascaping, coral mounting, fragging, and rockwork construction. It cures underwater to a coralline-style colour that blends more naturally with reef rock while the joint becomes covered by true coralline algae or coral growth over time.
Reef Rock Bonding with a Coralline-Algae Look
The coralline colour version is especially useful in marine and reef aquariums where bright white putty would stand out against live rock or purple aquascaping materials. It helps create stronger structures, secure coral placements, and more natural-looking joints during reef construction and maintenance.
Coral Mounting, Fragging, and Aquascape Stability
- Two-part epoxy putty for underwater aquarium use.
- Coralline colour helps blend with reef rock and marine aquascapes.
- Useful for bonding rock structures, positioning corals, mounting frags, and making clam bases.
- Suitable for saltwater, reef, freshwater, pond, and general underwater applications.
- Stickier formula is designed to bond more easily to wet rock and other wet substrates.
- Can help prevent rockslides caused by flow, livestock movement, urchins, snails, or routine maintenance.
Coralline Color Epoxy Pack Details
- Pack size: 113 g or 4 oz.
- Format: Two-part epoxy putty sticks.
- Colour: Coralline algae colour.
- Best suited for: Marine and reef aquariums, coral positioning, frag mounting, and rockwork joints.
- Curing reference: Semi-hard in approximately 3-4 hours at 20-25°C, with full cure overnight.
- Fully cured epoxy can be machined, drilled, filed, sanded, sawn, or painted if needed.
Securing Corals and Rockwork Underwater
Mix equal parts of the two epoxy sticks until the putty becomes uniform in colour and consistency. Apply the mixed epoxy to the coral base, frag plug, rock, or structure, then press the piece firmly into place. For large corals or unstable rockwork, provide support until the epoxy begins to set. If placing a coral in a stocked aquarium, it can help to briefly swish the mixed epoxy in a separate container of tank water before final placement to reduce loose residue.
What's Included
- One 113 g pack of Aquascape Construction Epoxy - Coralline Color.
- Two epoxy putty sticks: resin and hardener.
Important Reef Aquarium Use Note
Avoid excessive underwater manipulation in stocked aquariums. Overworking the epoxy can cloud the water and may reduce oxygen levels, especially in smaller systems. If the aquarium becomes cloudy, stop using the epoxy immediately and increase aeration until the water clears.
