All-in-one kits, no sump needed

Every aquarium on this page is an all-in-one design: the filtration sits in a rear chamber or behind a partition rather than in a separate sump under the tank. Flex 2.0 comes as 9 and 15 gallon with the curved front panel, and the original Flex continues at 32.5 gallon in both freshwater and Sea saltwater versions. Sea EVO covers 5 and 13.5 gallon for marine and reef use. Spec, Betta Premium and the LIV Microscaping kits fill out the smaller freshwater end.

Stands and replacement media

  • Flex aquarium stands in 15 and 32 gallon, matched to the tank footprint.
  • Spec/Evo/Flex replacement carbon and BioMax, shared across the three ranges.
  • Foam filter blocks listed by model - Evo 13.5, Flex 15G and the 9G size.
  • Flex 2.0 and Betta poly-carb cartridges, specific to those kits.

Choosing a size

The rear chamber that makes an all-in-one tidy also fixes how much equipment fits behind the glass, so plan the heater and any additional pump before committing to the smallest size. Media is where these tanks differ most in day-to-day running: several cartridges look alike but are cut for one model only. Check the kit name on the box against the media listing before ordering a refill.

J&L Aquatics was formed in December 1997

Our business was started from our love of the aquarium hobby. We at J&L Aquatics felt that the Canadian aquarist should have the option to purchase top quality supplies, equipment and livestock other than the generally over priced local retail stores.
