Product Description
RowaPhos Phosphate Removal Media - 1000 ml
RowaPhos Phosphate Removal Media - 1000 ml is a larger container of ferric hydroxide phosphate and silicate removal media for aquarium keepers who maintain bigger systems or use phosphate remover continuously. It helps control nuisance algae by removing phosphate before it accumulates in the water column.
Larger RowaPhos Supply for Ongoing Nutrient Management
The 1000 ml size is suited to larger reef aquariums, fish-only marine tanks, freshwater systems, ponds, and high-maintenance aquariums where phosphate management is part of the normal filtration routine. It provides more media for repeated changes, larger reactors, or systems with persistent phosphate input from feeding and livestock load.
High-Capacity Ferric Hydroxide Media for Phosphate and Silicate
- Large-format phosphate and silicate removal media.
- Suitable for freshwater, saltwater, reef aquariums, and ponds.
- Helps reduce nutrients that can fuel nuisance algae growth.
- Useful in reactors, canister filters, or suitable media containment setups.
- Does not release removed phosphate back into the aquarium when exhausted.
- Can be used continuously and replaced based on phosphate test results.
1000 ml RowaPhos Capacity for Larger Aquariums
- Container size: 1000 ml.
- Media type: Ferric hydroxide phosphate and silicate remover.
- Approximate phosphate-removal capacity: Removes 3 ppm phosphate from about 4000L of saltwater.
- Freshwater reference capacity: Removes 3 ppm phosphate from about 8000L of freshwater.
- Best fit: Larger aquariums, regular reactor use, or ongoing phosphate control.
- Keep unused media damp and close the container after opening.

Reactor and Canister Filter Use Directions
Use RowaPhos in a reactor, canister filter, or suitable contained media area where aquarium water can pass through the media without releasing loose particles into the tank. Do not add it loose to the aquarium and do not place it in water without filter wool or another suitable containment method. Turn reactor flow down if needed so phosphate leaving the reactor is reduced effectively. Test phosphate regularly and replace the media when it becomes exhausted.
