The Nyos Quantum 300 EQ Protein Skimmer is a large-system controllable in-sump protein skimmer built for demanding reef aquariums, public displays, large fish systems, and high-bioload marine installations. It combines the massive Quantum 300 skimmer body with two Quantum 5.0 24V controllable pumps, Mobius app control, Apex Fusion compatibility through the optional MXM module, RGB skimmer illumination, and smart safety features for precise high-capacity nutrient export.
High-Capacity Quantum 300 EQ Skimming
The Quantum 300 EQ is designed for aquariums where nutrient export must be both powerful and controllable. Twin 24V pumps provide the capacity needed for very large systems, while app-based speed control allows the skimmer to be reduced during feeding, water changes, maintenance, or nighttime plankton activity. This gives large-system reef keepers the ability to tune export instead of running a single fixed skimmer output around the clock.

Compatibility and Large-System Notes
The Nyos Quantum 300 EQ Protein Skimmer requires a large sump area with stable water depth, adequate clearance for cup removal, and access for routine pump maintenance. Mobius provides wireless control for pump output and schedules, while Apex Fusion integration requires the separate Neptune Systems MXM Mobius Wireless Control Module. Because this skimmer has very high export capacity, tuning should be gradual, especially on newer systems or aquariums with intentionally low nitrate and phosphate levels.

Directions for Use
Install the skimmer in a stable sump chamber, assemble both pumps and the bubble plate, connect the controller, lighting, and power supply, then pair the skimmer with Mobius. Start with moderate pump speed and conservative outlet adjustment while the skimmer breaks in. Once foam production becomes consistent, tune pump output and water level gradually to match the aquarium's bioload and desired skimmate concentration. Clean the collection cup and neck regularly, inspect both pump intakes during maintenance, and use schedules or preset modes when reduced skimming is desired during feeding or nighttime periods.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items

- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.
