Brightwell Aquatics Vitamarin-C Concentrated Vitamin C supplement for all marine fish and reef aquaria. Overview of Brightwell Vitamarin-C Highly-concentrated vitamin-C solution. Buffered; will not impact pH when used as directed. Stronger than competing products. Vitamin-C is associated with improved tissue growth and with aiding the immune system. Intended to provide benefits to all aquarium inhabitants. Well-suited to use in coral propagation. Requires no refrigeration. Composed of purified water and ultra-high purity ingredients. Formulated by a marine scientist. Instructions & Guidelines for using Vitamarin-C from Brightwell Aquatics If using to fortify food (recommended): Place food in a clean container such as a small bowl or cup and add only enough Vitamarin-C to saturate. Allow at least 5 minutes to elapse before feeding, enabling adequate time for the vitamins to become thoroughly absorbed by the food. Liquid food suspensions may be fortified by adding 1 ml (approximately 8 drops) Vitamarin-C per 10 ml of food suspension; stir to mix and allow 5 minutes to elapse before feeding. Maximum benefit of any liquid food suspension is achieved when the food is target-fed to the intended organisms rather than poured into a stream of water and allowed to disperse randomly throughout the aquarium.

Brightwell Aquatics SpongExcel Supplement for Increasing Growth Rates of Sponges & Gastropods Overview of Brightwell SpongExcel Sponge Excel is a supplement for increasing growth rates of sponges & gastropods.Silica is an important nutrient in seawater; it is required by many organisms (primarily diatoms and sponges in terms of total silica uptake) for the production of biomass, and is linked with the uptake of other nutrients, such as nitrogen and phosphorus, by these organisms.Sponges and diatoms can be significant nutrient sinks, and marine aquaria stocked with sponges, in particular, can benefit with the controlled addition of a silica solution. The natural seawater concentration of total silica is ~2.8 ppm, however this concentration varies by depth and region and is likely to be excessive in most marine aquaria. Rather than attempt to maintain this concentration in an aquarium, it is advisable to begin at a very low concentration (e.g. 0.05 ppm) and gradually increase this with time as the rate of silica uptake in the system dictates. Systems with considerable sponge growth tend to be silica-limited, therefore maintaining a silica concentration of ~1 - 2 ppm is likely to be of benefit. Additionally, diatom growth may have a significant impact on the rate of natural latent organic material uptake and recycling in marine aquaria, leading to improved water quality; diatoms are also a valuable food source for various grazing fishes and motile invertebrates. We are certainly not advocating that diatoms should be encouraged to grow unchecked in order to help improve water quality, however these organisms, in addition to sponges, can be a valuable part of a natural ecosystem that converts latent organic material into desirable biomass and supports greater biodiversity in closed marine aquaria through the maintenance of diatom- and sponge-grazing organisms. Brightwell Aquatics SpongExcel Features Ionic silica solution for enhancing growth rates of sponges and gastropods. 1 drop per gallon of water increases ionic silica concentration by ~0.20 ppm. May be employed in silica-limited systems stocked with sponges to improve water quality by increasing the rate of natural latent organic material uptake by these organisms. May be used to increase the rate of sponge growth in marine systems housing spongivorous fishes such as marine angelfishes, butterflyfishes, and their allies, providing them with greater access to their natural foods Formulated by a marine scientist. Instructions & Guidelines for using SpongExcel from Brightwell Aquatics Determine the silica concentration in the aquarium using an accurate test kit before supplementing. Identify all sources of silica in the aquarium (e.g. fresh water, salt mix, etc.) before determining a rate of dosing for this supplement. Begin with a dosage of 1 drop per 20 US-gallons per day, which will increase the silica concentration in this volume by ~0.01 ppm. Observe sponges for signs of growth improvement for at least two weeks, which may be significant enough to notice within the first week of dosing. Allow two weeks at this dosage before increasing the dosing volume; increase dosage by up to 10% per week as the perceived silica requirements of the organisms dictate.Maintaining the silica concentration in a range of 0.5 - 2.0 ppm will generally suffice for most systems; in general, the greater the biomass of silica-dependant organisms and the more available other necessary nutrients are, the greater the demand for soluble silica becomes. If diatom growth becomes abundant, discontinue dosing for 3 - 4 days and then resume dosing at a lower dosage. Note that daily, rather than less frequent, dosing is strongly recommended, as adding a large amount of soluble silica to any marine aquarium all at once is highly likely to result in a diatom bloom. Each ml of Brightwell Aquatics SpongExcel will increase the concentration of soluble silica [SiO2] in 1 US-gallon (3.785 L) of water by ~4 ppm, or ~0.20 ppm per drop. Determine the required daily dosing rate (recommended to weekly dosing) by measuring the aquarium's [SiO2] at the same time each day over a one- to two-week period. Estimate the volume of water in the entire aquarium system; divide the daily decrease in [SiO2] by 0.20; multiply this number by the volume of water in the system to get the daily dosage required (drops) to maintain a table [SiO2].Caution: Silica solutions are caustic; in case of contact flush skin and/or eyes with fresh water for 15 minutes. Drink 16-oz. fruit juice if swallowed and seek immediate medical attention. Wear protective eyewear and gloves when handling. Keep out of reach of children. Not for human consumption.

Brightwell Aquatics Reef Snow Replicates marine snow for corals and other suspension-feeding marine invertebrates. Overview of Brightwell Restor Complex of carbonate-bound, non-conservative major, minor, and trace elements in aragonite ratios, as well as marine-derived proteins and lipids in coral tissue ratios. Simultaneously delivers appropriate inorganic and organic nutrients required by stony corals, both zooxanthellate and azooxanthellate soft corals, gorgonians, clams, tube worms, sponges, tunicates, and other suspension-feeding invertebrates for growth of both soft tissue and skeletal material. Ideally fed at night when most corals extend their tentacles for prey-capture. Does not require refrigeration. Formulated by a marine scientist. Instructions & Guidelines for using Reef Snow from Brightwell Aquatics Shake product well before using. Turn protein skimmer and other forms of mechanical filtration off prior to adding Reef Snow to aquaria, and allow 10 - 15 minutes after use before resuming operation of filtration. Most zooxanthellate corals extend their tentacles at night, when the majority of coralivorous and zooplanktivorous fishes are asleep and the abundance of zooplankton in the water column passing over and through the reef is at its greatest. Therefore, the most sensible time to feed Reef Snow to corals is after all lights in the aquarium have been off (preferably for at least one- to two-hours) and the room is dark.Using a dim flashlight, illuminate the area immediately upstream of the coral to be fed, then feed as directed below. Slight cloudiness of the aquarium water accompanying dosage of Reef Snow is a result of the inorganic active components entering solution and will dissipate rapidly.

You've probably heard of Masstick. It's the innovative fish food from EasyReefs that you can stick on any surface of your aquarium - to your glass or rocks, for example - so fish can naturally graze on it.Hobbyists choose Masstick because it's all-natural balanced nutrition and finicky fish love it. The only issue is it requires preparation before use. Now all that's changed with the release of Easy Masstick! It's everything you love about the original Masstick but now in a ready-to-use formulation that requires zero preparation.Everything in Easy Masstick is of marine origin. There aren't any artificial ingredients, preservatives, or attractants. Nothing has been synthesized in a laboratory. With Easy Masstick, you're getting a truly diverse blend of natural and balanced nutrition that was created specifically for omnivorous fish and marine invertebrates to thrive.Easy Masstick consists mainly of shrimp (Palaemonetes varians) that are harvested from the Veta La Palma aquaculture facility in southern Spain. They are immediately freeze-dried to maintain the nutritional value. Since Easy Masstick is mainly comprised of freeze-dried zooplankton and does not contain any fish skeletons, it is very low in phosphate relative to its protein content.Features of Easy Masstick The only food you can stick to glass, rocks, or coral skeletons so fish can naturally graze on it. A complete and balanced food for omnivores. You don't have to feed other foods to supplement a diet of Easy Masstick. Great for finicky eaters like Angels and Butterflyfish. LPS corals and azooxanthellate corals love Easy Masstick! Inverts do, too! Everything in Easy Masstick is from the ocean. There are no ingredients from freshwater or on land. 100% all-natural ingredients. There is nothing artificial inside. There are zero preservatives or attractants. You can mix it with vitamins and medications. It can be an invaluable tool for the oral treatment of sick or debilitated fish. Feeding Instructions Take a portion of Easy Masstick out of the jar and stick it on a rock, a branched coral skeleton, or the aquarium glass (preferably in the lower third), or elsewhere depending on the feeding habits of the fish in the tank. We actually recommend sticking it to several spots in your tank so that all your fish, even the less aggressive ones, can have access to the food. And that's it!Sit back and watch your fish peck at it just like they would in nature. It's a real treat to see your fish feeding just like they do in the ocean. Another plus is that Easy Masstick stays "stuck" for hours. Fish can come and go as they please to eat as much, or as little, as they desire. This ad libitum approach to feeding is unique to the Masstick line and allows the food to be rationed for hours rather than gobbled up in a few seconds.Ingredients: Palaemonetes varians, Microalgae, Macroalgae, Mineral Salt, Glycerol.Nutritional Profile: Protein: 29.85%, Fat: 3.3%, Fiber: 2.1%, Ash: 15.47%, Moisture: 29.35%.

Brightwell Aquatics AngeLixir Brightwell Aquatics AngeLixir is a Free-Form Amino Acid Food Soak for Spongivorous Marine Fishes. Overview of Brightwell AngeLixir Food Additive Complex of free-form amino acids in the same ratios found within tissues of sponges. Utilizes natural attractants and marine-derived proteins to improve feeding response and increase protein percentage of fish foods, respectively. Beneficial to all fishes whose diets are in large part composed of sponges, including angelfishes, butterflyfishes, Moorish Idols, and their respective allies. Free-form amino acids: Encourage vibrant coloration. Provide the building blocks of protein to encourage the formation of new tissue Encourage new tissue growth to aid in recovery from wounds incurred during aggressive encounters with tankmates or during spawning periods. Formulated based upon sponge tissue analysis and marine finfish culture. Instructions & Guidelines for using AngeLixir from Brightwell Aquatics AngeLixir is readily absorbed by natural and prepared foods. Shake inner bottle well before each use. To fortify natural frozen foods: Rinse food in a fine-mesh net under running cold tap water until the food has thawed and the solution in which the food was frozen has been discarded. Then, squeeze as much of the excess liquid from the food as possible. Place food in a clean container, such as a small bowl or cup, and add only enough AngeLixir to saturate. Feed after 5 minutes have elapsed. Repeat three - five times daily to ensure that fish are receiving adequate food.To fortify freeze-dried and prepared foods (e.g. pellets): Place food in a clean container such as a small bowl or cup and add only enough AngeLixir to saturate. Feed after 5 minutes have elapsed. Repeat three – five times daily to ensure that fish are receiving adequate food. It has been our experience that natural foods, such as krill, mysis, and brine shrimp (thoroughly rinsed if frozen) are generally more readily accepted by newly introduced fishes than are most prepared foods, presumably due to familiar chemical and visual cues associated with natural prey items (as opposed to the relative unfamiliarity of prepared foods). If a fish has spent sufficient time in a retailer's system to become acclimated to feeding on specific types of foods, it is wise to purchase and feed the same foods to increase the chances that the fish will begin eating shortly after introduction to its' new surroundings. AngeLixir may be used to enhance the nutritional value of, and feeding response to, these foods.Observe water quality at all times, compensating for the increase in dissolved organic material entering the system with each feeding as necessary.

Eheim Feeding Station When you feed your fish, the food usually floats on the water surface where it spreads and disperses but any food that is not found or eaten immediately, will disappear into the decorations and filter where it will slowly decay and contaminate the water. The difference with the EHEIM feedingSTATION is that the food delivery is controlled from the food chamber – underwater. The fish are already waiting and the food can't drift very far - everything is eaten and the water will stay cleaner for longer An additional benefit is that you can observe and monitor your fish at the feeding station. Benefits of Using the Eheim Feeding Station The food is delivered underwater, via the chamber, to the same location every time There is very little waste from food dispersal Everything is eaten. No decaying food residue in the decorations or filter Less contamination in the water due to the reduction of decaying matter (nitrate and phosphate) No oxygen consumption from bacterial decomposition of food residue Lower food costs All the fish gather in one place which is ideal for you to check for diseases, parasites, inflammation and also for observing feeding behavior
