  • Neptune Trident Testing System Neptune Systems Trident Testing System results as seen in the Apex Fusion app.

    Neptune Trident Testing System

    In Stock

Neptune Trident Testing System The Trident is an automated testing system that regularly tests alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium in your saltwater aquarium - and then communicates this information to your Apex so you can get alerts, and change your dosing. When combined with the DOS (available separately) it creates a fully automated system for the proper dosing of supplements, maintaining them at consistent levels. How the Neptune Trident Works The Trident is a self contained automatic titration colorimeter. That's quite a mouthful, for sure, so let's state it as simply as we can. The Trident is basically automating what you (and top scientists) do already when you test your water, that is, perform a color changing titration and interpret the results. On a scheduled basis the Trident carefully mixes its reagents with a small amount of sample water from your aquarium. While doing this, it is measuring (titrating with a precision peristaltic pump) the amounts of each that are necessary to reach an expected color change (determined by the electronic colorimeter). When it finishes the titration, it sends this sample/reagent fluid to your waste container. It then interprets the results of that test and logs the value into your Apex.Easy Plug and Play Set-upFrom the box to testing in under 15 minutes! Unlike other testing systems, there are no reagents to mix, tubes to cut, or pumps or probes to calibrate. Simply plug in one cable, two tubes, and run the setup task on the Apex Fusion mobile app - it holds your hand through the installation with helpful videos along the way.Consistency and Precision, Test after TestThe Trident tests with a precision of +/- 0.05 dKh for Alkalinity and 15ppm for Calcium and Magnesium. This is better than humans can do consistently with every hobby-grade test kit on the market.Understand Your Aquarium Like Never BeforeWhen you start getting the regular data coming in from the Trident you will be amazed at the things you can see happening. The daily light cycle swing on calcium carbonate uptake. A salinity drop by watching magnesium. An out of sync dosing of calcium. This increased understanding ultimately helps you maintain a better, more successful reef.Out of Range Actions and AlertsYou can set up your Apex to alert you, or take immediate action(s) when a parameter falls outside of the safe zone you specify. As just one example, you might be dosing an Alkalinity solution and a misconfiguration could lead to overdosing of your tank. The Trident will catch that, alert you, and give you more time to make that correction before its too late and to save your aquarium. The data from the Trident can also be used to turn on and off other devices (like dosers or solenoids) to protect your tank even more.Automatic Dosing and Control - Ultimate StabilityThe more stable you maintain proper levels of Alkalinity, Calcium, and Magnesium, the better your corals will grow and thrive. But coral uptake of these supplements often changes and requires us not only to perform more testing, but also seems to put us in a never-ending state of adjusting our dosing levels. The Trident, when paired up with one or more of our DOS systems solves this problem with Automatic Dosing Control (ADC)When configured on the Apex, ADC will take the results it receives from the Trident and use them to gradually turn up or down the amount of additive your DOS delivers. But, don't worry, we have built this feature with safety in mind. With ADC you set your target value and your starting dosing amount and ADC will only tune that dosing level +/-35%. If it takes more than that amount of dosing to keep your aquarium at your target value, then the Apex will stop ADC, revert to your starting dosing amount, and alert you that you need to manually adjust your dosing level. Then, ADC can be re-enabled and it will continue to guide your DOS so that it keeps you as close to your target value as possible. It is possible to use ADC for all three tests - Alkalinity, Calcium, and Magnesium. You can also use one test value to adjust up or down more than one additive delivered by the DOS (i.e. Triton system).Simple Infrequent Reagent ChangesWhen using the default testing schedule of four (4) alkalinity, two (2) calcium, and two (2) magnesium tests a day, the reagent stored inside the Apex will last a full month. And adding new reagent is super simple - just slide out the drawer, remove the old bottle(s), and replace them with new ones. If you desire, you can also run a calibration with the included calibration standard. Highlighted Features of the Neptune Trident Automatically tests seawater for Alkalinity, Calcium, and Magnesium Up to 24 Alkalinity tests per day with +/-.05 dKh precision Up to 12 Calcium tests per day with +/-15 ppm precision Up to 12 Magnesium tests per day with +/-15 ppm precision ~7.9ml sample water used per parameter tested ~7 minutes testing time per parameter tested Up to one month of testing before reagents need changing based on base level testing of 4-Alk, 2-Ca, 2-Mg per day. When combined with DOS system (available separately), the data from Trident can be used to automatically raise or lower the amount of additives dosed as necessary to maintain stability at user set point. • Neptune Apex EnergyBar 832 Neptune Systems Apex EnergyBar 832 front view

    Neptune Apex EnergyBar 832

    In Stock

Neptune Apex Energy Bar 832 (EB832) A great aquarium just got easier! Energy Bar 832 - The Ultimate Power Control Hub! This Energy Bar 832 was redesigned from the ground up. Not only does it have eight 120V AC outlets, but it includes an internal 100W 24VDC power supply as well. That power supply feeds three built-in 1LINK ports as well as two 24VDC accessory ports. Each individual outlet has power monitoring and there are individual LED indicators for each outlet. Read on and watch the videos for more info. Power Monitoring: For years we have been asked to do the power monitoring of the individual devices connected to each outlet - but it just wasn't possible without breaking your bank. Now it's here and with comes tons of benefits. For many the cost of the electricity to run a successful aquarium is a major concern in their household. Even for those where electricity is cheap, we believe most aquarists care a great deal about their energy consumption and its effect on the environment. Ironically, our energy usage could be directly connected to excess greenhouse gasses, the warming of the oceans, and the bleaching of the corals! However, armed with the right information we believe aquarists will not only be able to make operating and purchase decisions that will save them hundreds of dollars a year, but they will also be able to reduce their carbon footprint. Built-In 1Link and 24VDC Ports: This Energy Bar has a built-in 100W, 24VDC power supply that can control up to three Neptune Systems 1LINK products like the WAV and DOS. It also includes two switchable 24V DC on/off outlets that are compatible with any 24V device under 30W and Neptune Systems 24V accessories like our Practical Multi-purpose Utility Pump (PMUP). Individual Outlet Indicator LED: Each Energy Bar AC outlet as well as the two 24VDC accessory ports have their own status LED. This LED tells you when that outlet is energized. The LED will also blink rapidly if a device is plugged in that exceeds the current capability for that outlet. Alarms and Decisions based on Power: Since the Apex is receiving continual power usage data from the Energy Bar 832, it can be configured to send you notifications when a device is not using power as it should be. An example would be a return pump showing no power consumption when the outlet is on or a skimmer whose power consumption will show differently when its airline is clogged when compared to normal operation. These high and low limits are completed customizable by individual outlet. You can even use this power data to control other devices. All Outlets Relay Switched: Times have changed and it is fairly uncommon now for aquariums to have AC devices that must be cycled on and off continuously. This means that we could now switch all AC outlets to relay switching since there is no need to have soft start and there is no concern for the noise of the relay. Please note: The EB 832 is not backward compatible with the Classic Apex, or the Apex Junior controllers!

  • Neptune Apex Flow Monitoring Module (FMM)

Neptune Apex Flow Monitoring Module (FMM)

    In Stock

Neptune Apex FMM (Flow Monitoring Module) The FMM (Fluid Monitoring Module) from Neptune is a multi-purpose module that, with the help of various accessories, enables your Apex to do: Flow Monitoring Leak Detection Water Level Detection Power 24VDC accessories Future sensors Neptune Apex FMM Flow Sensors Return Pump: Measuring the flow of your aquarium's main return pump is an incredibly useful piece of information. The key benefit would be to have the Apex notify you the instant the flow stops for any reason - usually the result of a failed or faulty pump. Furthermore, an indication of a reduced flow rate could be used to determine that the pump or the lines are dirty or are becoming clogged with algae, debris, animals, or the growth of organisms inside your plumbing. Auxiliary pumps on reactors and the like: This is a very handy application for the FMM. Place a flow sensor on a device like a carbon/gfo/biopellet reactor and it serves many purposes. First off, you will know if your pump is not flowing correctly or failed altogether. Next, you can easily fine-tune the flow into the reactor by watching the dashboard tile on your Apex. Finally, you can know when the reactor is becoming clogged with detritus or possibly channeling has occurred by an alert on your Apex or by monitoring your dashboard.Put a flow sensor inline to your device, plug it in to the FMM, and see exactly the flow rate of the water (any aquarium fluid really) going through that sensor. The industrial-grade flow sensors use either a turbine or paddle- wheel mechanism (depending on the model) to measure the flow.It is important to note that the flow rate that will be reported back to you from the flow sensors will likely be far lower than you expect or what is printed on the pump label or documentation. This is due to head pressure loss from physical height differences, long runs, restrictions such as ball valves, fittings like elbows, tees, and reducers, and then finally the loc-line many use as the entry point into their tanks. As an example, a pump rated at 3200gph will likely be showing less than half that amount in nearly all applications. Four Ports: The FMK comes with three flow sensors but the FMM has a total of four ports. This means you have one port free to use for another purpose. Buy additional flow sensors (available also in 2" and 1/4" sizes) or choose from other options available and add even more functionality! All accessories are sold separately. If you wish, there are complete kits available (Neptune FMK) that will get you up and running with the most popular options.

    Hydros Water Level Sensor

    In Stock

The HYDROS Water Level Sensor is an optical sensor you can use for a variety of aquarium applications, such as sensing when your tank needs to be topped off or to detect when a dosing container needs a refill. It plugs into any Sense Port on a HYDROS device (like the Control 2 or Control 4) and does not require any additional power source. The HYDROS Water Level Sensor contains no moving parts that can fail. It's extremely tiny: it's a little over a half-inch thick with a circumference the size of a US penny. The optical eye is magnetically coupled with the magnet side measuring only 1/4" thick. It can be mounted to most clear, tinted, or painted surfaces up to 1/2" thick. The sensor operates in the daytime or complete darkness so it's safe for use hidden inside your aquarium stand or in the back chambers of an all-in-one aquarium. You can use the HYDROS Water Level Sensor a multitude of different ways. For example, you could set one up as a high-level sensor and another as a low-level sensor as part of a dual-sensor automatic top-off (ATO) system. You could place these tiny optical sensors inside your dosing containers so you could be alerted when they need to be refilled. You could place a couple in an ATO reservoir: one can tell HYDROS to refill it and the other could prevent it from overflowing. Keep equipment from running dry by having HYDROS cut power to an outlet when the sensor is triggered. The sensors are easy to place, easy to move, and easy to clean. The HYDROS Water Level Sensor is an Official HYDROS Accessory manufactured by AutoAqua in Taiwan. Creators of the Smart ATO Micro, AutoAqua is one of the most well-known and trusted makers of aquarium automation systems in the hobby today. CoralVue has thoroughly tested the Water Level Sensor to ensure seamless compatibility with the HYDROS platform. The product development team at CoralVue engineered the sensor so it connects with any HYDROS Sense Port using its aviation-style plug for safe operation. No additional power source is needed to run the sensor.HYDROS Water Level Sensor Specs Size: Diameter - 0.75" Sensor - 0.55" thick Magnet Mount - 0.25" thick Max Mounting Thickness: 1/2" Use as High or Low Level No Moving Parts Magnetic Attachment For freshwater and saltwater aquariums The HYDROS Water Level Sensor uses a GX12 aviation-style connector so the Control 2 and Control 4 maintain their IP65-rating (dust-tight and protected from water spray at any angle). Powered, monitored, and controlled by plugging into a Sense Port on the HYDROS Control 2 or Control 4. No additional power cord is required. Manufactured by AutoAqua, an official HYDROS Technology Partner.

    Hydros Wifi Power Strip

    In Stock

A Smart and Affordable Way to Power Your Aquarium GearThe HYDROS Power 4 WiFi Power Strip is a smart power bar designed to work with the CoralVue HYDROS platform. The Power 4 has 4 x 120V AC outlets and 4 x USB ports that are WiFi controllable using the free HYDROS app for Android and iOS/Apple mobile devices. You can turn outlets on and off wirelessly over a 2.4 GHz WiFi frequency. The Power 4 has a range of 98 feet, so you can place power strips around your home without any difficulty connecting to your modem or router. Each of the 4 x outlets can be controlled individually while the 4 x USB ports are controlled as one. The 4 x outlets have individual LED indicators and the 4 x USB ports have a single LED indicator. The status LEDs indicate when an outlet is energized.Control and Monitor Aquarium Equipment from Your Mobile DeviceBy using the HYDROS app with the Power 4, you can create rules and schedules to turn on and off different pieces of aquarium equipment, like pumps, powerheads, lights, heaters, algae scrubbers, UV sterilizers, protein skimmers, and whatever else you may want to control on demand or put on a schedule. The USB ports are ideal for connecting and controlling aquarium cooling fans which you can program to turn on if your aquarium water gets too hot and then turn back off automatically when the water drops back within ideal ranges.Control Multiple Power Strips from a Single, Easy-to-Use Mobile AppAnother great thing about the Power 4 is that you can control multiple Power 4 Power Strips from the HYDROS app. You might use a couple of Power 4's to power your display tank, place another in the garage to use for a saltwater mixing station, and have units in each of your children's bedrooms to turn even beginner tanks into smart aquariums. The beauty of it is that you can control all these different outlets that are being used for different purposes using a single app.Be Notified If an Outlet Fails So You Can Take Corrective ActionYou can also monitor the outlets on your Power 4 power strip. If an outlet fails or loses its WiFi connection, you will be immediately notified via alerts to your mobile device. This safety feature can help prevent a tank catastrophe. For example, if the outlet powering your return pump failed, you would receive a notification to let you know something is awry so that you can take corrective action. As a temporary fix, you might decide to turn on all your flow pumps and increase their speed remotely via the HYDROS app to keep the water moving and the temperature stable until you can arrive home to investigate.HYDROS WiFi OutletsThe HYDROS Control system can utilize WiFi-based power outlets as part of its configuration. These outlets can be used to switch lights, pumps, heaters, and other equipment on or off as needed in an aquarium environment. The power outlets connect to the Control device via WiFi. Understandably, there are concerns about the general reliability of these outlets and the possibility of a loss of communication. One thing that should be pointed out is that HYDROS talks to the outlets directly on WiFi. No cloud interaction is involved. Thus, as long as your WiFi hub is operating, the outlets will work even if the outbound Internet connection fails. The following outlines some of the safeguards that have been taken to reduce the probability of failure.MonitoringHYDROS does not treat the outlets passively. Control 2 and Control 4 devices monitor each WiFi outlet continuously at a rate of at least once a second. HYDROS communicates with each outlet and verifies that it is returning the correct status. If the state is incorrect (for example, if the outlet was switched ON or OFF manually), HYDROS will immediately switch the outlet back to where it should be.If the HYDROS Control device cannot communicate or verify the status of an outlet, an alarm will go off, and it will send a notification email or SMS text to the user. This process allows the user to know if an outlet disappears or malfunctions immediately. On the Smart Plug WiFi outlets which support current measurement, HYDROS can also verify if the device's current consumption is within the expected range. So, for example, if a heater is supposed to consume 400 watts, an alert can be sounded if it is less than 350 watts (probably will be zero if it failed).HYDROS Power 4 Strip Specifications Power: AC 120V Outlets: 4 X AC Outlets | 4 X USB Ports Total Power Rating: 10A/1250W Total USB Power: 2A WiFi Frequency: 2.4 GHz Dimensions: 7.8 x 4 x 1.1in Weight: 483g

The Apex Pro has a total of 4 Includes the Liquid Level Sensor - 15 inch Includes the new Optical Leak Sensor (LD-3) Includes the new and improved Temperature Probe The Neptune Apex is Wireless Internet Ready! For years we have advocated a wired network connection for your Apex due to its superior reliability - and we still do. However, for many people a wired connection is just not possible. So, for this Apex we spent countless man-hours developing an incredible 802.11g/n Wi-Fi connection with reliability that rivals a wired connection. And, the connection process to your home network is amazingly simple - getting you set up and on the Apex Fusion cloud service in just a couple of minutes! Apex Energy Bar 832 - The Ultimate Power Control Hub This Energy Bar 832 was redesigned from the ground up. Apex Power Monitoring: For years we have been asked to do the power monitoring of the individual devices connected to each outlet - but it just wasn't possible without breaking your bank. Built-In 1Link and 24VDC Ports on the Neptune Apex: This Energy Bar has a built-in 100W, 24VDC power supply that can control up to three Neptune Systems 1LINK products like the WAV and DOS. The Neptune Apex offers Alarms and Decisions based on Power: Since the Apex is receiving continual power usage data from the Energy Bar 832, it can be configured to send you notifications when a device is not using power as it should be. An example would be a return pump showing no power consumption when the outlet is on or a skimmer whose power consumption will show differently when its airline is clogged when compared to normal operation. These high and low limits are completed customizable by individual outlet. You can even use this power data to control other devices. All Outlets Relay Switched on the Apex EB832: Times have changed and it is fairly uncommon now for aquariums to have AC devices that must be cycled on and off continuously. This means that we could now switch all AC outlets to relay switching since there is no need to have soft start and there is no concern for the noise of the relay. 13 Total Connections Available on your Neptune Apex! 8 - 120V AC Outlets all switched with relays rated for millions of cycles 3 - 1LINK 24VDC Smart outlets for devices such as WAV, DOS, etc. 2 - Switchable 24VDC outlets for accessories such as small pumps, solenoids, fans, etc. What is included in your Neptune Apex Pro Box 1 - Neptune Apex Pro Base System 1 - Energy Bar 832 1 -Temperature Probe - new design 1 - Double Junction ORP Probe 1 - Double Junction pH Probe 4 - Built in FMM ports 1 - Optical Leak Sensor (LD-3) 1 - 15" Liquid Level Sensor See images for product comparisons and what is included with the different models.Note: The display or salinity probe is NOT included with the Apex Pro and Apex A3 Systems. • Buy Hydros Rope Leak Sensor Kit at www.jlaquatics.com Hydros Rope Leak Sensor Kit

    Hydros Rope Leak Sensor Kit

    In Stock

The HYDROS Leak Detection Rope Sensor is the first of its kind in the aquarium industry. The moment water comes into contact with it, that information can be used to alert you on your smartphone, sound an alarm, turn pumps off, and other actions that can protect your aquarium, home, or office from a total disaster.A problem with traditional solid surface leak sensors is that you have to buy several to really feel a sense of security. What are the odds water will pool in the exact spot where a single sensor sits?Another solution we've come up with is a rope-style water sensor. You can wrap it around your aquarium, sump, stand, or wherever else you like. This type of sensor makes a lot more sense when you want leak detection security in a wider area. You can configure the HYDROS app to perform whatever action(s) you want to happen when a leak is detected: flash a specific light color on your HYDROS controller, turn off a pump, shut down your protein skimmer, send you a mobile alert so you can come home (or ask a friend to check on the tank). It's easy to do and you're in control.Just plug the rope sensor into a Sense Port on your HYDROS device. Next, place the rope flat on the surface where liquid detection is desired. If tape is required to hold the rope in place, be sure to only apply it on the ends. You want to expose as much of the sensor as possible for maximum protection. Once the rope sensor is in place, it is very important to test it to ensure it's working properly. To perform a test, open the HYDROS app on your mobile device and configure the Sense port so the rope sensor is on. Drip a bit of tap water across the rope sensor so the black and white sensing cables come into contact with the liquid. Monitor the sensor's status in the HYDROS app to see check if it's reading is dry or wet. If everything looks good, you're done! Dry the cable and you're ready to configure alerts and equipment to take action if a leak occurs. You don't have to occupy another Sense port to secure a larger area. HYDROS Leak Detection Rope Sensors can be daisy-chained together to form a larger perimeter for protection. Got a big tank? You can lengthen the line of defense to lasso around your large aquarium by simply connecting multiple rope sensors together. Leak detector ropes do not need an additional power source, even if you connect them together. Rope leak detectors do not occupy outlets on power strips or require a HYDROS Drive port connection to operate.HYDROS Leak Detection Rope Sensors offer users 24/7 remote monitoring. Be instantly notified at the first sign of a leak so you can prevent a flood. Tap into the HYDROS app to immediately check the status of water parameters, equipment, power strips, and smart plugs. Make decisions based on real-time data to take appropriate corrective actions from anywhere and at any time.10 ways you can use the HYDROS Leak Detector Rope Place it alongside your aquarium Line it outside of your sum Wrap it around a reactor Lay it on the floor in an open area Fit it into a hard-to-read corner Wrap around plumbing pipes Mount it to a controller board Use it in your mixing station Affix it to water supply and return lines Remotely in your garage, bathroom, basement, laundry room, kitchen, or wherever you make or use water.
