Brightwell Aquatics Potassion Liquid Potassium Additive - 500ml is a highly concentrated ionic potassium solution for marine and reef aquariums, especially systems housing SPS corals or running ultra-low-nutrient filtration methods.
Brightwell Potassion Potassium Additive for SPS Reef Aquariums
Potassium is a major element in natural seawater and is involved in coral growth, coloration, and normal biological function. Potassion helps maintain potassium near natural seawater concentration in reef aquariums where livestock uptake, salt mix variation, zeolite-based filtration, or aggressive nutrient control may contribute to depletion.

- Highly concentrated ionic potassium solution for marine reef aquariums.
- Provides potassium used in aragonite formation by corals and other reef-building organisms.
- May support blue coloration in some small-polyp stony corals when other reef conditions are appropriate.
- Useful for potassium depletion associated with zeolite-based ultra-low-nutrient aquarium methods.

Brightwell Potassion Testing and Potassium Range Notes
- Size: 500 ml bottle.
- Use: Marine and reef aquariums.

- Natural seawater potassium concentration is approximately 399 ppm.
- Recommended maintenance range: 390 to 410 ppm potassium.
- Each 1 ml increases potassium in 1 US gallon by approximately 21 ppm.
- For best control, use an accurate potassium test kit before making adjustments.
Potassion Liquid Dosing Directions
Shake well before use. Add 5 ml per 50 US gallons every other day, or as needed to maintain potassium between 390 and 410 ppm. For advanced adjustments, test potassium first and calculate dosage based on total system volume. If potassium is below 390 ppm, do not exceed 10 ml per 20 US gallons daily until the concentration reaches the recommended range. Try to maintain potassium within approximately +/-10 ppm and avoid large uncontrolled changes.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items
- If you receive an item that is defective, not working, or dead on arrival (DOA), please contact us as soon as possible.
- Confirmed defective and warranty returns have no restocking fee and no Affirm fee. Customer does not pay return shipping — J&L Aquatics will provide a prepaid return label.
- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.

Affirm & Financing Orders
- Affirm or similar financing orders that are cancelled or returned in-store are subject to a 5% service charge. This covers the processing fee charged to us by the financing provider.
- The Affirm service charge does not apply to confirmed defective or warranty returns.
