No Apex Necessary! The COR-20 does not require an Apex to operate. If you do not yet have an Apex don't worry, much of its functionality is available from the button and LED interface on its driver. When the COR is connected to an Apex and the internet, it will send an alert to your mobile device as well.Internal Temperature MonitoringThe pump driver is continually monitoring the internal temperature of the COR pump motor. If it reaches an unsafe level, the driver will slow the pump down just enough to bring the temperature into an acceptable range while also providing you a notification. Some pumps shut off completely when they have a temperature issue, but the COR slows down so your tank will continue to circulate - giving you time to address the problem.IQ LevelSet the output level you desire for your aquarium and overflow capability and the COR will memorize that and make it your "100%" for your aquarium. If power should go off, when it restarts it will always return to that memorized setting. Also, during feed modes, your water will not completely back-siphon. This prevents the burping and bubbling that normally occurs when a pump powers back up.Feed ModeWith some simple configuration in Apex Fusion you can set a Feed Mode that will slow the pump to any level you choose. The EHEIM air pump has been a fantastic success story. Because with this pump we have succeeded in creating a very quietly working device. And that is exactly what a lot of fish keepers have been waiting for.
There are three models with a pump outlet from 100, 200 (2 x 100) and 400 (2 x 200) l/h, on which the smallest model has one and the two larger ones both have two individually adjustable air outlets. And they come equipped with one or two EHEIM diffusers.
The air flow can be regulated at each outlet on the pump and also on each diffuser. This allows you to set your own individual bubble effect.

Constant Speed - Constant Speed mode is the default mode of the Vectra, this makes the pump produce flow at a constant speed that is determined by the position of the dial.
Feed Mode - At the touch of a button the Vectra pump will temporarily pause the current mode and idle allowing food to be added to the tank without being cycled into the overflow and filtration.
Speed Lock - Speed Lock gives you the ability to lock in a desired speed on the pump by disabling the control dial protecting you from accidental and not so accidental unwanted changes in speed.
Closed Loop Modes Pump
Lagoonal Random - Lagoonal Random mode simulates a low-energy lagoon environment. The speed of the pump is changed slowly to recreate the gentle currents of a lagoon. Reef Crest Random - Reef Crest Random mode simulates a high-energy reef environment. The pump will change speed frequently and drastically to simulate crashing waves and surging tide. Traditional AC pumps, when used as a return pump for your sump, are flow controlled through the use of a choke valve.
