Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter Clean - 500ml
Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter Clean MicroBacter Clean is a complex system of non-pathogenic microbes and natural enzymes, specifically formulated to clean aquarium live rock and decorations. The concentration of dissolved and particulate organic materials in any aquatic environment can have a significant impact on the overall appearance of, as well as the health of organisms residing within, that system. Relatively low-nutrient environments are characterized by high water clarity, lack of unpleasant odors, and absence of unsightly coatings; this is collectively a result of the lack of nitrogen-, phosphorus-, and carbon-based waste available. Aquaria that are relatively rich in available nutrients have characteristics opposite to the afore mentioned, and are typically not desirable because of the resultant appearance of the system and the difficulty of maintaining healthy aquarium inhabitants. Features of MicroBacter Clean Natural cleaning action on all aquarium and decoration surfaces. Loosening of ugly accumulations of unwanted substances and coatings which makes their removal by scraping and vacuuming much easier. Establishment of bacterial colonies that multiply and continue to clean the aquarium. Rapid reduction of organic carbon, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate. Digestion of uneaten/undigested food, excreta, detritus, and other latent organic material, resulting in cleaner and healthier aquarium substrate (without having to physically clean or disturb the substrate bed). Instructions for using Brightwell Aquatics Aquatics MicroBacter Clean Shake product well before using. Mix appropriate volume of MicroBacterCLEAN (see below) with 250-ml (~8 fl. oz.) of aquarium water in a clean container prior to addition to aquarium. If using a pipette to dispense MicroBacterCLEAN below water level of container or aquarium, be sure to thoroughly clean pipette with fresh water prior to placing tube back into MicroBacterCLEAN bottle; failure to do so will contaminate the product. Best results may be obtained by adding mixture to external biological filtration system. Works particularly well with Xport. Do not add to pump intake port(s). Turn protein skimming and UV-sterilization off for a period of 4 hours following addition to aquaria. While utilizing MicroBacterCLEAN continue good maintenance practices such as regular vacuuming, using purified water for additions, and limiting the addition of unnecessary nutrients. For normal cleaning and to maintain a clean aquarium: Add 20 ml (4 capfuls) per 25 US-gallons (94.6 L) [16 drops per gallon (3.8 L)] of aquarium water weekly. For problem aquariums or to rapidly accelerate cleaning: Add 30 ml (6 capfuls) per 25 US-gallons (94.6 L) [24 drops per gallon (3.8 L)] of aquarium water on the first day, then add 5 ml (1 capful) per 25 US-gallons (94.6 L) [4 drops per gallon (3.8 L)] of aquarium water daily for 2 weeks or longer as necessary until desired results are achieved. Bacteria work slowly, so full results can take up to 8 to 10 weeks for long neglected systems.

SeaChem Flourish Excel - 500ml
Seachem Flourish Excel - 500ml Flourish Excel is a source of bioavailable organic carbon. All plants require a source of carbon. This is typically obtained from CO2, but, may also be derived from simple organic compounds (such as photosynthetic intermediates). The use of either CO2 injection or Flourish Excel does not necessarily negate the use of the other. Because the processes of producing photosynthetic intermediates and building onto them occur simultaneously, one can derive a substantial benefit with the use of Flourish Excel either alone or in conjunction with CO2 . The combination is particularly ideal for situations when continuing to add CO2 could result in dangerously low pH levels. Flourish Excel also has iron reducing properties which promote the ferrous state of iron (Fe+2), which is more easily utilized by plants than ferric iron (Fe+3). The reason plants need CO2 is to produce longer chain carbon compounds also known as photosynthetic intermediates. Photosynthetic intermediates includes compounds such as ribulose 1,5-bisphosphate, and 2-carboxy-3-keto-D-arabinitol 1,5 bisphosphate. Although the names are complicated, the structures are quite simple (5 carbon chains).Flourish Excel does not contain these specific compounds per se, but one that is quite similar. By dosing with Flourish Excel you bypass the involvement of CO2 and introduce the already finished, structurally similar compounds. It is in its structural similarity that Flourish Excel is able to be utilized in the carbon chain building process of photosynthesis. Simple chemical or enzymatic steps can easily convert it to any one to any one of the above named compounds (or a variety of others). How to Use Flourish Excel On initial use or after a major (> 40%) water change, use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 40 L (10 gallons*). Thereafter use 1 capful for every 200 L (50 gallons*) daily or every other day. Dosing may be slowly increased in high-growth aquariums. For smaller dosing please note that each cap thread is approximately 1mL.

Seachem Flourish Tabs - 40 Pack
Flourish Tabs are growth stimulating tablets for plant roots. They contain essential trace elements, amino acids, and vitamins. They are rich in iron, manganese, magnesium, calcium, potassium, inositol, choline B12, biotin, and other factors that have been determined to be beneficial to aquatic plant roots. They contain no phosphate or nitrate that would promote algae proliferation. Each pack of ten tablets treats a 12 x 30 inch plant bed twice.Perfect for the beginner, Flourish Tabs contain all the nutrients found in Flourish in a dry, tabular form. These tabs are inserted into the gravel, providing direct, time-released fertilization to the plants' root zone. Nutrients are slowly made available through enzymatic action of the plants' roots on the tabs.Directions: Insert one Flourish Tab in the gravel for every 10-15 cm (4-6 in.) radius. A standard 10 gallon aquarium requires 6 tabs. Distribute the tablets evenly throughout the gravel bed. Push each tablet midway into the gravel bed. Add new tablets once every one to three months for optimal plant growth. Tabs will not alter pH, but, in very soft or unbuffered water, they have slightly acidic properties similar to peat moss.

Red Sea Reef Foundation B (KH) - 1 Litre
Red Sea Reef Foundation B – 1 Liter Red Sea Foundation Elements defines and maintains the correctly balanced levels of Calcium, Alkalinity and Magnesium.A successful coral reef aquarium is dependent upon maintaining the appropriate water parameters that, in turn, provide the stable environment required by the corals.Although all the elements found in natural seawater have an important role in providing the optimal water parameters, a few of them have a more significant role in the overall stability. These elements are the foundation of the reef environment and they include the three major elements: calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg) and bicarbonates (HCO3).These three reef foundation elements have a major effect on the water chemistry (pH stability, alkalinity and seawater ionic strength) and on many of the coral's biological processes (skeleton formation, ions exchange, and photosynthesis).Red Sea's Foundation Elements provides a complete solution for maintaining and replenishing the foundation building blocks of the reef aquarium by providing complete and balanced supplements, formulated to work together for long term use and without changing the ionic balance of the water.Optimal levels of the Reef Foundation ElementsUnlike the natural reef environment, where there is an immense reservoir of the foundation elements, the reef aquarium is an artificial environment that is constantly affected by chemical changes. Therefore, the reef foundation elements must be monitored and replenished constantly. Research has also shown that the optimal levels of these elements should be maintained according to the variety and maturity of the specific coral population. In order to accurately select the optimal level for your reef aquarium system, it is best to use the values for the most demanding coral species in your marine aquarium.Coral GrowthCorals need to invest energy in transporting the foundation and other elements necessary for skeletogenisis from the surrounding water through their soft tissue.Elevated levels of reef foundation elements create a more positive ionic pressure enabling passive diffusion of the elements through the soft tissue. This makes the process much more efficient (less energy required per gram of skeleton). Therefore, balanced elevated levels of foundation elements will result in accelerated coral growth rates. In mature systems where accelerated growth is not desired or when aiming to enhance coral coloration by reducing the levels of algae nutrients, lower balanced levels of the reef foundation elements should be maintained.SkeletogenesisSkeletogenesis is the process by which special cells within the corals' soft tissue combine the foundation elements together with strontium and barium from the surrounding water to form the building blocks of coral skeletons. Corals build approximately 90% of their skeleton by combining calcium and carbonate ions from the water to form aragonite (CaCO3).The rest of the skeleton is made up from magnesite (MgCO3), strontianite (SrCO3), calcite (a more brittle crystal structure of CaCO3), fluorite (CaF2) and other minor and trace minerals. In unbalanced conditions such as low levels of Mg and/or Sr the skeleton will develop with a higher proportion of calcite making it more brittle and more susceptible to damage. The foundation elements complement each other in the formation of coral skeleton. If they are not available in the correct ratios, one of them will quickly become the limiting factor of healthy coral growth. Features of Red Sea Alkalinity Reef Foundation B Carbonate & buffer complex for balanced formation of Coral SkeletonCalcium, magnesium, strontium and carbonate are the basic foundation elements of coral skeletons. All of these elements need to be available in balanced proportions for coral health and growth. Dosing Red Sea Reef Foundation B (Alkalinity) 1ml will raise the Alkalinity of 100 liters (25gal) by 0.036 meq/l (0.1dKH)

Brightwell Aquatics NeoPhos - 500ml
Brightwell Aquatics NeoPhos Brightwell Aquatics NeoPhos is a balanced phosphate source for phosphorus-limited, low-nutrient reef aquaria. Overview of Brightwell NeoPhos Phosphate Additive Used in conjunction with MICROBACTER7 and REEF BIOFUEL or KATALYST, enables natural nitrogen uptake to take place in systems with inadequate phosphorus content, lowering ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate concentrations without the use of chemical filtration media and without resorting to polluting the system with organic material to raise the phosphorus content. Recommended for use by advanced reef aquarists maintaining ultra-low nutrient content systems, only. May be used with MICROBACTER7, REEF BIOFUEL and/or KATALYST, and NEONITRO to achieve desired nutrient content in reef aquaria for improved health and coloration of inhabitants. Successfully-operated low-nutrient and ultra-low-nutrient reef aquaria rely upon a balance of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus in order to enable beneficial microbes to efficiently remove latent organic material by means of consuming it and converting it into additional microbial biomass. The resulting perpetual supply of planktonic microbes is exported from the system via protein skimming and/or captured by corals and other suspension-feeding invertebrates, recycling the once-latent organic material (waste) into additional biomass of these organisms. These nutrients are also required by zooxanthellae, and therefore by zooxanthellate invertebrates, for continued existence. The ability of microbes to remove nutrients from their surroundings relies upon the presence of adequate supplies of organic carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus; if any one of these nutrients is not present in adequate supply, microbial uptake slows or ceases and the concentrations of the remaining nutrients increases as nutrient input continues. The aquarist may employ appropriate filtration material to reduce the concentrations of these nutrients, however bringing the nutrient concentrations into "balance" will accomplish the same task. Failure to maintain adequate nutrient content in any reef system may result in bleaching and/or tissue degradation of zooxanthellate invertebrates. Instructions & Guidelines using NeoPhos from Brightwell Aquatics Shake product well before using. Do not overdose. Results will be most significant when the system is being dosed with MICROBACTER7 on a daily or bi-daily basis.1. Using accurate test kits or calibrated digital testing devices, determine phosphate and nitrate concentrations in system. It is assumed that the phosphate concentration in the system is below detectable limits for the testing method being employed.2. Apply NEOPHOS as directed below to attain a phosphate concentration of ~0.02 ppm.3. Allow 24-hours to elapse; re-test nitrate and phosphate concentrations. If concentrations remain unchanged, then the system is likely carbon-limited. Dose with REEF BIOFUEL at the rate of 1-ml per 25 US-gallons and allow 24-hours to elapse, then re-test phosphate and nitrate concentrations. Continue daily dosing with REEF BIOFUEL until phosphate or nitrate concentrations begin to decrease, indicating that the rate of carbon input to the system matches the rate of phosphorus- or nitrogen-input, respectively.4. If nitrate concentration decreases without addition of REEF BIOFUEL or use of KATALYST, phosphate concentration in the system will decrease. Continue dosing with NEOPHOS to maintain phosphate concentration of ~0.01 - 0.02 ppm until nitrate concentration falls to within desired range (suggested 3 - 5 ppm). Thereafter, dose with NEOPHOS as required to maintain desired phosphate and nitrate concentrations.Note: If at any time, dosing with NEOPHOS results in a prolonged increase of phosphate concentration without gradual decrease as nitrate is taken up, system is likely carbon-limited (remedied by the application of REEF BIOFUEL or KATALYST to the system). Refer to Steps 3 and 4, or to our website (NEOPHOS "Technical" page). There has been more than one strength of NEOPHOS that has been sold, so please refer to the number of gallons treated on the bottle.

Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter QuikCycl - 60ml
Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter QuikCycl MicroBacter QuikCycl contains professional nutrients for fishless cycling and establishing strong nitrifying bacteria beds in freshwater and marine aquariums.Caution: Contains Ammonia, Keep out of reach of children. Not for human consumption. If swallowed, contact a poison control center immediately. NOTE: THIS PRODUCT IS DESIGNED FOR FISHLESS CYCLING. DO NOT EVER PUT INTO AN AQUARIUM CONTAINING LIVE FISH, PLANTS, OR INVERTEBRATES. ADD ANIMALS AFTER CYCLING IS COMPLETE!!! This product alone will not cycle an aquarium, it simply provides the nutrients. You must use a good quality bacterial culture to establish the bacteria bed in the aquarium. We highly recommend Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter Start XLM or MicroBacter Start XLF as appropriate for your aquarium. DO NOT OVERDOSE, EVER! Be patient, your animals lives are at stake! You must use test kits to measure pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate to complete cycling on an aquarium. If you attempt to cycle the tank without proper testing, you are asking for disaster and will likely kill your fish. Brightwell Aquatics or J&L Aquatics is not responsible for indiscriminate use of this product! We recommend that you read up on aquarium cycling so that you know what it is all about. Please also consult our website at www.Brightwell Aquaticsaquatics.com for more information. MicroBacter QuickCycl is intended for simultaneous use with a LIVE BACTERIAL CULTURE: Bacteria products for aquarium use vary widely in characteristics, strength and overall design. The results you get will be quite different if you use an inferior bacteria culture or one that is out of date or has been stored incorrectly and at harmful temperatures. Nitrifying bacteria is damaged by heat and outright killed by freezing, so care must be taken to preserve its efficacy. If the bacterial product you use is dead, then this whole process will not work! Brightwell Aquatics highly recommends that you use either MicroBacter Start XLM, or MicroBacter Start XLF depending on whether you are starting a marine aquarium or a freshwater aquarium. For freshwater, a more economical choice can be made to use either FlorinBacter One, FlorinBacter or FlorinBacter7. Instructions & Guidelines for using Brightwell Aquatics Aquatics MicroBacter QuikCycl On Day 1:a) Turn off skimmer, UV and remove fine filtration such as socks, make sure aquarium has sufficient filtration surface area, such as provided by Brightwell Aquatics XportTM world class bacterial filtration medium or Microbacter LatticeTM.b) You must use a good dechlorinator first, such as Brightwell Aquatics Erase to remove chloramine and chlorine!c) Prepare water and adjust pH, alkalinity, and temperatured) Add full dose of QuikCyclTM at 4 drops per gallon or 1 ml per 5 gallons of tank capacitye) Measure Ammonia which should be between 1 and 2 ppm total ammonia, which is ammonia plus ammonium (NH3 and NH4+). Do not add more to get the proper reading either today or throughout the days that follow. This is because the bacteria will quickly begin to use up the ammonia, and even though added, it will may not show up on your tests.f) Add MicroBacter Start XLM, or MicroBacter Start XLF as appropriate for your aquarium, as directed. On Day 2: Measure pH, Ammonia and Nitrite and record values. On Day 3: Measure pH, Ammonia and Nitrite and record values. On Day 4: Measure pH, Ammonia and Nitrite. If either Ammonia or Nitrite are over .25 ppm, then you can add more bacteria, if desired. On Day 5: Measure pH, Ammonia and Nitrite and record valuesOn Day 6: Measure pH, Ammonia and Nitrite. If either Ammonia or Nitrite are over .25 ppm, then you can add more bacteria, if desired. On Day 7: Measure pH, Ammonia and Nitrite. If using MicroBacter Start XLM, MicroBacter Start XLF and your Ammonia and Nitrite show zero, then measure Nitrate. If Nitrate is showing .25 ppm or higher, then your aquarium is cycled. If using any other bacteria, then go to Day 8.On Day 8: Measure pH, Ammonia and Nitrite and record values. On Day 9 and subsequent days: Measure pH, Ammonia and Nitrite. If Ammonia + Nitrite value is zero, then measure nitrate and if there is a reading of Nitrate at .25 ppm or higher, then the aquarium is cycled. At conclusion of cycling, perform a 25% water change and begin adding hardy animals, SLOWLY. Restart UV, skimmer and filtration. Go Slow!

Brightwell Aquatics Phosphat-E - 500ml
Brightwell Aquatics Phosphat-E Eliminates reactive phosphate from all marine fish and reef aquaria. Overview of Brightwell Aquatics Phosphat E Begins to eliminate reactive phosphate immediately upon addition to aquarium. Safe for all inhabitants of reef and marine fish-only aquaria. Each ml eliminates 1 ppm phosphate in 4 US-gallons of water (250 ml treats 1,000 US-gallons). Helps facilitate the removal of phosphate from aquaria during periods when dissolved organic material is abundant. May be used on an ongoing basis to help control phosphate in heavily-stocked aquaria. Over 50% stronger than most competing products. Formulated by a marine scientist. Aquarium may become slightly cloudy when product is first applied; cloudiness is temporary and will dissipate. Read Notes on opposite panel regarding re-testing. Instructions & Guidelines for using Phosphat-E from Brightwell Aquatics Aquatics Determine phosphate concentration in aquarium prior to first use by testing with an accurate test kit. Add product to aquarium near a mechanical filter or protein skimmer intake at the maximum rate of 5 ml (1 capful) per 20 US-gallons daily for each 1 ppm of phosphate present in system. When used in this fashion, 250 ml treats up to 1,000 US-gallons (3,785 L). Add weekly at same dosage to maintain an immeasurable reactive phosphate concentration.

SeaChem Equilibrium - 600 Gram
Equilibrium is specifically designed to establish the ideal mineral content for the planted aquarium.Equilibrium contains no sodium or chloride (which can be detrimental to a planted aquarium at elevated levels). Equilibrium is ideally suited for use with RO (reverse osmosis) or DI (deionized) water or any mineral deficient water. Equilibrium raises the essential mineral/electrolyte content (General Hardness) of the water to balance with and promote stability of the carbonate hardness. To maintain KH, we recommend Alkaline Buffer. Unlike competing products, Equilibrium contains NO SODIUM CHLORIDE. Both sodium and chloride are not rapidly depleted elements in a planted aquarium, and, in the case of chloride, can do more harm than good. Competitors' products generally contain primarily sodium chloride (because it is inexpensive), which will raise the electrolyte levels for fish, but can be detrimental to plant growth. In addition, sodium is not a contributing cation to GH levels. Equilibrium contains only calcium, magnesium, and potassium salts, which aid in fish metabolism, but are also highly beneficial to plant growth.Directions: To raise mineral content/general hardness (GH) by 1 meq/L (3 dH), add 16 g (1 tablespoon) for every 80 L (20 gallons*) when setting up an aquarium or when making water changes (add to new water). Equilibrium can be added straight, although for optimum solubility we recommend mixing with ~ 1 L (1 qt.) of water (the resulting mixture will have a white opaque appearance). When this mixture is added to the aquarium it will impart a slight haze that should clear within 15-30 minutes. HINTS: Do not use Equilibrium when replacing evaporated water. This dose is based on DI or RO water; for other water, measure hardness (GH) first, then add according to need. Plant preferences vary, but a general guide is about 1-2 meq/L (3-6 dH) or match the existing or target carbonate hardness (KH), which, ideally, is also about 1-2 meq/L (3-6 dKH).

Brightwell Aquatics Razor Marine Cleaner - 500ml
Brightwell Aquatics Razor Marine Brightwell Aquatics Razor is a Unique Marine Systemic System Cleaner designed to target and clean surfaces of live rock, coral decorations and tank walls Overview of Brightwell Razor Marine It is recommended that activated carbon use be suspended while using this product, as activated carbon can reduce the product's effectiveness. Once the aquarium has attained the desired appearance, activated carbon can be put back into the filtration system, if desired. Due to the rate at which filters collect particulate material, it may be necessary to clean mechanical filter pads and other media every other day while dosing this product. Simultaneous use with MicroBacterCLEAN will have a very synergistic effect. If using with MicroBacterCLEAN , add it first and then wait several hours to add the Razor Marine.Active protein skimming and sensible feeding should be the first steps taken to minimize turbidity and the concentration of dissolved organic materials in any marine aquarium. Water of high clarity that is low in dissolved organic material and possesses the proper parameters is the basis for a healthy aquarium system! br />Razor Marine is slow acting and may require multiple applications to achieve the effect desired by the user. Used as directed, it is safe for marine fishes, hard and soft corals, and other inverts, as well as most macro-algae, however, as all animals are individuals, and water conditions vary in many aquariums, animals should be observed closely during use, for signs of stress (corals closing and not re-opening, erratic behavior etc.). If signs of stress occur, or if macro-algae are affected negatively, reduce or discontinue use as necessary. If symptoms persist, do a partial water change and add carbon. Complex systemic cleaning polymer product, specifically formulated to clean aquarium live rock surfaces and decorations systemically. Benefits are: Gentle loosening of ugly accumulations of unwanted substances, debris and coatings which makes their removal by scraping and vacuuming much easier Flocculation of particulate matter from leftover food, detritus and precipitation Prevents particles from settling on rocks and accumulating Overall cleaning action making the aquarium cleaner, clearer and more desirable, helps keep glass clean longer. Instructions & Guidelines for using Razor Marine from Brightwell Aquatics Shake product well before using! For every 50 gallons ( 190 L ) of aquarium volume: Introduce the following dosages of this product into a high flow area of the main aquarium. Note: 125 ml, 250 ml and 500 ml bottle caps are 5 ml. 2 Liter and 4 Liter caps are 10 ml.Day 1: add 2-1/2 ml (1/2 capful)Day 2: add 5ml (1 capful)Day 3: add 7-1/2 ml (1-1/2 capfuls)Day 4: add 10 ml (2 capfuls)Day 5: add 12-1/2 ml (2-1/2 capfuls)Day 6: add 15 ml (3 capfuls)For maintenance, add 7.5 ml (1-1/2 capfuls) every other day or as needed. Activated carbon may be re-installed in the filters once treatment with this product has been concluded.

Seachem Flourish Potassium - 500ml
Flourish Potassium contains 50,000 mg/L of potassium suitable for the natural planted aquarium. Potassium is one of several elements that are vitally important to maintaining a vigorous level of growth in a planted aquarium.Potassium can become depleted in a rapidly growing system or when the source water has a low mineral content. In these cases potassium could become the limiting factor to growth. Use Flourish Potassium to prevent potassium depletion (signs of which include yellowing in older leaves) and maintain the highest level of growth. The most easily obtained sources of potassium are potassium nitrate and potassium phosphate. Both of these sources add to either nitrogen or phosphorus as well as potassium, making it virtually impossible to target a specific NPK ratio. Flourish Potassium is derived from potassium sulfate, allowing the user to adjust potassium levels without affecting nitrogen or phosphorus.Directions: Use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 125 L (30 gallons*). This dose raises potassium by 2 mg/L. Repeat 2-3 times per week or as needed (in response to signs of potassium deficiency in older leaves which includes: chlorosis (yellowing), necrosis (death/browning), and weak stems and roots.Derived from: Potassium Sulfate. Elemental potassium is present at a concentration of 50,000 ppm (e.g. 5%). Archaic fertilizer laws require us to list potassium in terms of equivalence to a material that is not present (K2O) rather than the more scientifically sound method of simple elemental equivalence.

Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter Start XLM - 250ml
Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter Start XLM - 250ml MicroBacter Start XLM is a professional 15x strength live tank starter nitrifying bioculture for rapidly cycling new marine fish and reef aquaria and brackish aquariums, and for recovering from overcrowding or disasters where the bacteria bed has been damaged or when adding new fish. MicroBacter Start XLM 15X creates a nitrifying biological filter in marine & brackish aquaria of all types and is particularly useful for new start-ups, resulting in cycling in about 5 to 7 days in most cases. It quickly removes toxic ammonia and nitrite naturally through non pathogenic nitrifying bacterial action. Even though this product is extremely potent, it may be overdosed at up to 5 times the rated dosage during aquarium upsets. It should be your first choice to remove ammonia during emergencies where the filter has beeninadvertently killed or under overcrowding. MicroBacter Start XLM Features Super concentrated 15X Suspension of LIVE non-pathogenic microbes, specifically formulated to extremely rapidly establish biological filtration in new aquarium set-ups, and to enhance the rate of nitrification in existing systems. Crucial for rapidly re-establishing nitrification bacteria in case of an ammonia or nitrite emergency (such as when medications have killed or damaged the bacteria bed) Particularly useful in aquaria with high population densities and when adding new fish Helpful to re-establish nitrifying bacteria after cleaning rocks and surfaces and after use of medications. 1. Rapid reduction of ammonia, and nitrite. 2. Prevents "New Tank Syndrome." Supplied in a proprietary base which provides for maximum longevity Formulated utilizing extensive data compiled by microbiologists. Does not require refrigeration during normal shipping or storage. Normal storage temperature range is 34F to 80F. Will withstand one or more freezes and higher temperatures to 95F for a few days at a time, allowing for normal shipping temperatures. We do recommend refrigeration at 50F when possible to prolong shelf life. (Competing products cannot stand any freezes and must be refrigerated below 50F at all times requiring shipping with ice or refrigerated containers MicroBacter Start XLM 15X is a highly concentrated, selective complex of live, extremely effective microbes and enzymes that rapidly reduces the concentrations of organic nitrogen - i.e. ammonia, and nitrite in marine and brackish ecosystems, leading to greatly improved water quality and much faster cycling. Use of MicroBacter Start XLM does not alleviate the requirement for regular partial water changes to help maintain proper concentrations of elements that are vital to long-term health and survival of aquarium inhabitants.Notes - It is normal that clumps may form in the product and the product and the aquarium may have an "earthy" smell or smell "off" and the aquarium water could become cloudy and the smell and cloudiness could remain for many hours after using. This is due to the bacteria themselves and is an indication of quality and is the reason it is necessary to shake product well immediately before using. Brightwell Aquatics recommends that you not use any other type of bacteria product until your cycle with this product is complete. Do not use live sand and particularly DO NOT USE dry seeded artificial live rock. There are no dry bacteria species that will be compatible with this nitrifying bacteria product or that are useful to cycle an aquarium! To use a dry bacteria will only lengthen the time it takes to cycle by many weeks and increase your work by 6 to 8 times! Wet cycled live rock or even previously cycled wet man made rock will work fine. Dry sand is fine to use, but not bagged, so called "live sand."Storage: Although product can withstand elevated temperatures for short periods of time (a few days), for best longevity and highest potency, keep below 80 degrees F and if possible, it will be best kept refrigerated at 50 degrees F. Do not freeze! Freezing can kill the bacteria. (This product will usually withstand a freeze or two in transit in the winter, but do not freeze, thaw, freeze thaw.) If the product arrives frozen, then thaw at room temperature, NEVER MICROWAVE! Instructions & Guidelines for using Brightwell Aquatics Aquatics MicroBacter Start XLM Shake product vigorously immediately before using. Add the appropriate volume of MicroBacter Start XLM (see below) to the aquarium in an area of high flow to promote dispersion. Do not use "live sand" or "dry seeded artificial live rock" until cycling with this product is complete for several weeks! (In fact, Brightwell Aquatics recommends that you do not use dry seeded artificial "live rock" ever. The best choices are aquacultured live rock, rock from the ocean, naturally cycled artificial rock sold wet, unseeded dry artificial rock, dry Florida aragonite, other natural aragonite, marco rock and the like. Any rock that already contains a bacteria and is dry, will damage the cycling and in our experience takes too long to cycle and cycles the wrong nutrients - it will not properly cycle ammonia because it is the wrong species of bacteria). To seed Biological Filtration in new aquaria: Add 30 ml (6 capfuls) of MicroBacter Start XLM per 25 US-gallons (95 L) of aquarium water. Add one or more hardy fish. Remove filter socks, turn UV-sterilization and/or ozonation and/or protein skimmer off for the complete period of cycling until you are finished dosing this product. Test ammonia and nitrite levels daily or as needed, if either are above .2 ppm, then you can dose MicroBacter Start XLM again at a lower dose of 10 ml per 25 US-gallons, if desired. At 7 days or longer, Tank is cycled if, and only if, both ammonia and nitrite levels are zero and nitrate is well above zero. If either ammonia or nitrite levels are above zero, then the tank is not yet fully cycled and you should not add fish. if the nitrate is not above zero (at least .25 ppm), then tank is not yet fully cycled and you should not add fish. To replace bacteria killed by extensive cleaning of substrates and surfaces: Add 10 to 30 ml per 25 US-gallons (95 L) depending on perceived damage to filter bed, and ammonia level. To replace bacteria killed by medications, overcrowding or emergencies: Add 30 ml per 25 US-gallons (95 L) depending on perceived damage to filter bed. Then add 5 ml per half hour until ammonia levels come down.To perform a Fishless Cycle: Purchase a bottle of MicroBacter QuikCycl to use simultaneously with this product, MicroBacter Start XLM according to the QuikCycl label. Fishless cycling requires both products to be used together. This product will provide the bacteria and the QuikCycl will provide the nutrients.Ongoing care after the aquarium is cycled: To provide ongoing biological stability to a cycled aquarium: Switch to MicroBacterClean after tank is fully cycled and one week has elapsed. This will greatly reduce problems during the "ugly stage." At that point, you can add Reef BioFuelTM to provide a carbon source for the MicroBacterClean, if desired.

SeaChem Flourish Excel - 2 Litre
Seachem Flourish Excel - 2 Litre Flourish Excel is a source of bioavailable organic carbon.

Red Sea NO3-PO4-X - 500ml
Red Sea NO3-PO4-X - 500ml Red Sea NO3:PO4-X is a highly effective, reef-safe solution for the long term prevention of algae through precise control of nitrates & phosphates.Red Sea NO3: PO4-X is a unique complex of a number of different carbon molecules and other organic-bonded elements that enable a controlled biological reduction of algae nutrients (nitrate and phosphate) by naturally occurring nutrient reducing bacteria that exist in all aquariums. Red Sea NO3-PO4-X Features Controllable and safe nitrate & phosphate reduction Sets and maintains ongoing desired levels of nitrate and phosphate Promotes coral growth and coloration Reef Safe, no undesirable side effects Easy to use, reliable and cost effective NO3: PO4-X is easy to use, with a relatively small dose being added to the system on a daily basis. Over time the daily dosage of NO3: PO4-X will be varied (see instructions for use) according to measured levels of nitrate and phosphate, giving the fine control of nitrate and phosphate levels that guarantees the gradual changes and accurate maintenance of the desired nutrient levels. With continued correct use there are no undesirable side effects when using NO3: PO4-X. It is safe for all fish, corals and micro fauna. Even a large accidental overdose should not cause any irreversible damage as long as a suitably rated skimmer is installed on the system. Using Red Sea NO3-PO4-X Nitrate/Phosphate Remover Uncontrolled reduction of the algae nutrients can destroy the symbiotic Zooxanthellae causing UV shock and starvation of the corals. For best results always use an accurate test kit such as Red Seas Nitrate Pro test which has an accuracy of 0.125ppm. Once lower levels are nutrients are achieved, as seen by corals displaying their natural colors instead of "Zooxanthellae" brown, it is important to start feeding with easily digestible foods such as Red Sea's Reef Energy 2-part formula that contains all of the necessary carbohydrates, amino acids and vitamins Efficient protein skimming is essential to provide the necessary oxygenation of the water and to remove bacterial flocks from the aquarium. For a comparison of the different types of phosphate/nitrate reduction methods see the links tab on this page.

SeaChem Flourish Iron - 500ml
Flourish Iron is a highly concentrated (10,000 mg/L) ferrous iron (Fe+2) gluconate supplement. It should be used in those cases where the iron requirements exceed that which can be delivered by Flourish at the recommended dose or signs of iron deficiency appear (such as short and slender stems or yellowing between veins.) Contains no phosphate or nitrate.Plants are able to much more easily derive a benefit from Flourish Iron than from EDTA-iron sources because all EDTA iron is in the ferric (Fe+3) state. Since plants require iron in the ferrous (Fe+2) state, additional physiological energy must be expended in order to extract the ferric iron from EDTA-iron and then convert it to the ferrous form.Directions: Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 200 L (50 gallons*) or as required to maintain about 0.10 mg/L iron. For smaller doses please note that each cap thread is about 1 mL. Use MultiTest: Iron test kit to monitor iron concentrations. Use as needed to combat signs of iron deficiency (usually seen in new growth) which include: chlorosis (yellowing) of tissue between veins and short and slender stems.

Two Little Fishies AcroPower Amino Acids - 1 Litre
Amino Acid Formula for SPS Corals.AcroPower supplies amino acids that corals need to build their skeletal architecture. Like other cnidaria, corals have a special ability to uptake dissolved amino acids across their entire surface. Closed system aquariums with protein skimming and other ULN (ultra-low nutrient) filtration methods deplete amino acids that are vitally important for coral health.Small polyped reef building corals of the genera Acropora, Montipora, Stylophora, Seriatopora, Pocillopora, and others become more colorful within days due to the extension of the growing margins when AcroPower is used. The entire contents of a 1L bottle treats 5000 gallons.Directions:Shake well. Add to a strong current stream for rapid distribution in the water. Does 5ml per 25 gallons at least once per week, or use a Shlobster dosing pump to deliver the same volume divided into daily increments. Does not require refrigeration, but store in a cool, shaded area to maintain the shelf-life. Shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture.

Red Sea Reef Foundation C (Mg) - 1 Litre
Red Sea Reef Foundation C – 1 Liter Red Sea Foundation Elements defines and maintains the correctly balanced levels of Calcium, Alkalinity and Magnesium.A successful coral reef aquarium is dependent upon maintaining the appropriate water parameters that, in turn, provide the stable environment required by the corals.Although all the elements found in natural seawater have an important role in providing the optimal water parameters, a few of them have a more significant role in the overall stability. Features of Red Sea Magnesium Reef Foundation C Magnesium supplement for balanced formation of coral skeletonCalcium, magnesium, strontium and carbonate are the basic foundation elements of coral skeletons. All of these elements need to be available in balanced proportions for positive coral health and growth. Dosing Red Sea Reef Foundation C Magnesium 1ml will raise the Mg level of 100 liters (25gal) by 1ppm.

Seachem Flourish Tabs - 10 Pack
