Neptune COR-20 Water Pump
Overview
Your return pump is by far the most important piece of equipment on your aquarium. It circulates the water which is basically the life-blood of a tank. Creating a great aquarium is just like building a great body - it all starts at the core - and this is precisely how our pump got its name!
The COR is a variable speed, brushless, DC-driven centrifugal water pump designed specifically for aquariums to be intelligent, energy-efficient, unbelievably quiet, and incredibly powerful for its size.
Features
Runs Stand-Alone - No Apex necessary!
Compatible with all Apex Systems
Up to 2000 GPH (7500 LPH)
For internal or external applications
IQ-Level sets the proper min and max flow for your aquarium
Includes over-sized 1.25" union
Energy efficient - Uses less than 90W of power!
Incredibly quiet
No Apex Necessary! The COR-20 does not require an Apex to operate. If you do not yet have an Apex don't worry, much of its functionality is available from the button and LED interface on its driver. However, connect it to your Apex and it becomes the most intelligent and feature-rich aquarium pump on the market today!Compatible With Every Apex. All COR pump models are fully compatible with every Apex system on the market. Simply connect the COR pump driver to any available AquaBus connection on your Apex system and then run the setup task in Apex Fusion. It's that easy!Great Flow To Power RatioThe COR-20 puts out great flow while at the same time being super-stingy on power making it friendly to you wallet and the environment! Be sure to plumb the COR-20 using the largest diameter pipe possible to get the best performance. We recommend at least 1.25".Advanced ControllabilityThe COR was built from the ground up with Apex controllability in mind. Control your pump output percentage, get real-time operational feedback from the pump, integrate it into complex feed routines, and monitor the status of the pump from anywhere in the world via Apex Fusion.Easy InstallationConnect the plumbing, plug the COR into its driver and plug it in a 1LINK port. With just a few button presses you will be able to set the pump flow rate and feed modes. A set up task will take you step by step through the entire install process.Whisper-Drive TechnologyThe COR uses the latest in Vector Control, BLDC motor technology. This drives the COR pump in a way that is both energy efficient as well as nearly vibration and noise free. Go ahead, we challenge you to find a quieter pump!Obstruction DetectionSnails, filter pads, or other foreign objects often find their way into a pump. Should the intake to your COR or any of your plumbing become significantly obstructed, the COR will alert you by flashing the LED on the driver. When the COR is connected to an Apex and the internet, it will send an alert to your mobile device as well.Internal Temperature MonitoringThe pump driver is continually monitoring the internal temperature of the COR pump motor. If it reaches an unsafe level, the driver will slow the pump down just enough to bring the temperature into an acceptable range while also providing you a notification. Some pumps shut off completely when they have a temperature issue, but the COR slows down so your tank will continue to circulate - giving you time to address the problem.IQ LevelSet the output level you desire for your aquarium and overflow capability and the COR will memorize that and make it your "100%" for your aquarium. If power should go off, when it restarts it will always return to that memorized setting. Also, during feed modes, your water will not completely back-siphon. This prevents the burping and bubbling that normally occurs when a pump powers back up.Feed ModeWith some simple configuration in Apex Fusion you can set a Feed Mode that will slow the pump to any level you choose. You can even have other tank operations sequence with this feed mode and the time interval of the Feed Mode can be customized as well. The buttons on the COR driver also function as an easy to use feed button.Included FittingsThe COR comes complete with all the fittings necessary for most aquarium configurations (0.75" output, 1.0" input). But we've also included a 1.25" union for the output so you can connect the pump in a manner that will result in the least amount of head loss. Plumb your main return-line in 1.25" and get the full potential of the COR pump - as much as 50% or more flow! What's Included

Nyos Floating Fish Trap
Overview
Innovative, cordless principle
With conventional fish traps, catching fish is complicated since a mechanism for catching the fish usually has to be activated by via a line. With the Nyos FLOATING FISH TRAP on the other hand, only the magnetic connection is released as soon as a fish is in the trap. An air body at the opening of the trap ensures a quick 90 degree turn and buoyancy of the trap and the fish.Flexibility thanks to the magnetic holder
The fish trap can be attached to the aquarium pane with the magnetic holder. This enables a flexible position in the aquarium. The trap can be placed close to the surface of the water so that the food can be conveniently added with the pipette supplied.Compact dimensions
The Nyos FLOATING FISH TRAP is compact and is quickly accepted by the fish due to its round, transparent design.
Designed for glass thickness 8-15mm (0.31" - 0.59")
Tips catching aquarium fish
It takes time for the fish to get used to the trap
While they get used to it, feed the fish only through the trap
For fish that feed on algae, algae leaves can be fixed in place with the enclosed magnet
The pipette can also be used to keep the food moving. Many fish tend to respond to moving food
In the case of small and fast fish, wait until the fish have swam completely into the trap
Do not use the trap to catch multiple large fish at the same time
In case of shy fish, fix a string on the magnetic holder so it can be detached from a distance
In the case of shy fish, if necessary, remove dominant fish from the aquarium beforehand
If necessary, turn off the flow so that the food stays in the trap

For years we have advocated a wired network connection for your Apex due to its superior reliability - and we still do. However, for many people a wired connection is just not possible.
So, for this Apex we spent countless man-hours developing an incredible 802.11g/n Wi-Fi connection with reliability that rivals a wired connection. And, the connection process to your home network is amazingly simple - getting you set up and on the Apex Fusion cloud service in just a couple of minutes!
Apex Energy Bar 832 Ultimate Power Control Hub
This Energy Bar 832 was redesigned from the ground up. Not only does it have eight 120V AC outlets, but it includes an internal 100W 24VDC power supply as well. That power supply feeds three built-in 1LINK ports as well as two 24VDC accessory ports. Each individual outlet has power monitoring and there are individual LED indicators for each outlet. Read on and watch the videos for more info.Apex Power Monitoring: For years we have been asked to do the power monitoring of the individual devices connected to each outlet - but it just wasn't possible without breaking your bank. Now it's here and with comes tons of benefits. For many the cost of the electricity to run a successful aquarium is a major concern in their household. Even for those where electricity is cheap, we believe most aquarists care a great deal about their energy consumption and its effect on the environment. Ironically, our energy usage could be directly connected to excess greenhouse gasses, the warming of the oceans, and the bleaching of the corals! However, armed with the right information we believe aquarists will not only be able to make operating and purchase decisions that will save them hundreds of dollars a year, but they will also be able to reduce their carbon footprint.Built-In 1Link and 24VDC Ports on the Neptune Apex: This Energy Bar has a built-in 100W, 24VDC power supply that can control up to three Neptune Systems 1LINK products like the WAV and DOS. It also includes two switchable 24V DC on/off outlets that are compatible with any 24V device under 30W and Neptune Systems 24V accessories like our Practical Multi-purpose Utility Pump (PMUP).Individual Outlet Indicator LED: Each Energy Bar AC outlet as well as the two 24VDC accessory ports have their own status LED. This LED tells you when that outlet is energized. The LED will also blink rapidly if a device is plugged in that exceeds the current capability for that outlet. The Neptune Apex offers Alarms and Decisions based on Power: Since the Apex is receiving continual power usage data from the Energy Bar 832, it can be configured to send you notifications when a device is not using power as it should be. An example would be a return pump showing no power consumption when the outlet is on or a skimmer whose power consumption will show differently when its airline is clogged when compared to normal operation. These high and low limits are completed customizable by individual outlet. You can even use this power data to control other devices. All Outlets Relay Switched on the Apex EB832: Times have changed and it is fairly uncommon now for aquariums to have AC devices that must be cycled on and off continuously. This means that we could now switch all AC outlets to relay switching since there is no need to have soft start and there is no concern for the noise of the relay.
13 Total Connections Available on your Neptune Apex! 8 - 120V AC Outlets all switched with relays rated for millions of cycles3 - 1LINK 24VDC Smart outlets for devices such as WAV, DOS, etc. 2 - Switchable 24VDC outlets for accessories such as small pumps, solenoids, fans, etc. What is included in your Neptune Apex Pro Box

Heavy-Duty
High capacity and commercial-grade construction mean the Versa can run heavily, including in continuous use applications. Tough tubing that is easily replaceable makes for impressive longevity with minor effort to service. *Feeding dependent on liquid viscosity and other factors.
Planetary Gear Drive
The Versa's drive configuration is optimized for precision and longevity - two essential characteristics for a precise yet robust market-leading peristaltic pump.
Mobius Programming available with Versa
Including safeguards, catch-up, and a myriad of other features: A defining characteristic of EcoTech equipment is the versatility and power of control offered to the aquarium hobbyist. A defining characteristic of Mobius is packaging all this capability in a way that makes programming and control intuitive, quick, and painless.
Versa Dosing Pump Modes
Continuous Mode sets a dosing rate (volume/min) that runs when the pump is powered. Continuous mode is an always-operating dosing mode and needs to be controlled by external means (controller, timer, float switch). Continuous Mode Use Case- Using the Versa as part of an auto top off setup would be a continuous mode use case. This configuration involves paring a Versa running continuous mode with a float switch that activates when water levels drop. A good value for flow rate, in this case, is mainly dependent on the size of the tank and the differential between high and low positions on the float switch. (A substantial required volumetric change will most likely benefit from a higher dispense rate.)
Manual Mode allows the selection of a dosing volume and duration. The dosing pump dispenses that volume at a rate consistent with the total volume desired. The rate can be set by time start and stop and a total dose volume, in which case the pump determines the appropriate dose rate. Multiple periods can be set (up to 30). The Catch-Up toggle, when engaged, allows the Versa to make up a dosing difference if the pump is shut down or is interrupted for some time. Catch-Up only doses missed volume up to the same days set total. It will not attempt to make up multiple days - worth of dosing. Manual mode use case - This mode is an excellent option for replacing an existing dosing schedule. An advantage over current dosing pumps includes dosing the planned daily volume continuously over a more appropriate time period as opposed to fixed-rate dosing, which runs at the same rate until the total volume is complete (discreet). Discreet dosing points can also be created if that is the user's preference. Dosing additives or food continuously over long periods may be a preferred dosing solution as it will not cause sudden changes in aquarium chemical parameters that may occur if single dosing events are utilized. When setting up the Versa to dose, three modes can be selected. PG. 11 Features, pricing and specifications subject to change.
Auto mode schedules dosing specific to what additive or solution is dosed. This mode capitalizes on standard dosing practices and knowing water parameter changes in a reef tank based on light cycle and inhabitant biological activity. The dosing pump will not determine how much to dose (that requires testing and tuning). It will, however, schedule dosing around the salt or additive solution selected and best practices associated with dosing that particular salts or additives. Examples Include: Magnesium morning, Calcium afternoon, ALK Buffer night time. Trace Elements dosed during or shortly before the brightest part of the scheduled photoperiod. Calcium Reactor - doses a higher ratio of daytime volume to night time volume to mitigate pH swings. Kalkwasser - doses higher ratio of nighttime volume to day time volume to mitigate pH swings. Adaptive ATO - after a few refill cycles, pump learns the approximate rate of evaporation and performs continuous top off - evaporation rate "measured" once a week to account for seasonal evaporation changes, resulting in much more stable salinity and sumps water level (especially useful for sumpless nano tanks) Auto mode use case is an ideal solution for using Versa pumps for all your aquarium dosing and top off activities. Choose the purpose or additive and then tune the dosing - or set to your current expected volumetric requirements, and this mode handles the rest.
SpecificationsMin dosing volume: 0.5 ul/minMax dosing volume: 300mL/minAccuracy: +/- 0.2 mL for quantities of 1 mL or less, +/- 1% for quantities of 1- 300 mL (2% advertised). What is Mobius
Mobius is EcoTech's new equipment control app. Free for download from your favorite iOS or Android app store (available at the time of Versa public launch), Mobius turns your smart device into the control center for your EcoTech equipment. Simple is an understatement. In less than five minutes, you can be up and running. By using app control as the interface for programming the Versa - complex programming is immediately simplified by using the power and simplicity of your existing smart device. App control removes the need to access a control panel and cycle through options and settings with a cumbersome onboard interface and hard to press buttons. Other than an iOS or Android smart device, no additional controller is required. The Versa pump is controllable exclusively with Mobius and is not backward compatible with EcoSmart Live. The Mobius app is required to create a 24-hour dosing schedule for the Vectra.

Neptune Apex FMM Solid Surface Leak Probe
Overview
Plug this probe into your FMM and then place it on any surface where you want to detect stray water.
Upon contact with water this probe will communicate to your Apex and alerts or other actions can then take place.
Time is so critical when it comes to water on the floor so it is very common to place two of these inside the stand and two outside the stand to have the ultimate protection against a leaky aquarium.
Note: The LD-2 will only work with the FMM and cannot be used with the ALD module.
Ecotech Vectra M2 Water Pump
Overview
EcoTech Marine has set new standards for equipment in saltwater aquariums. The Vectra is no exception. The world's smartest return pump can be run on a schedule, wirelessly give you updates on the operation and be automatically configured to work with your specific aquarium setup.CalibrationThe Vectra can be set to auto calibrate to your tank. As a return pump, this smart feature prevents back siphoning if the pump is turned down and also provides a neutral flow condition in feed mode. ESL via Mobile Device
All Vectra pumps are compatible with the Mobius App. Mobius provides completely wireless access to the world of EcoSmart Live, the web-based aquarium command center from EcoTech Marine.Battery Backup
Blizzard. Hurricane. A motorist hits a utility pole. Stuff happens. The power goes out - Vectra pumps are compatible with the EcoTech Battery Backup accessory.Flexible Installation
Included with the Vectra Pump are QuickCouple components, these fitted couplers provide the flexibility to make installation, cleaning and adjustments a breeze. The Vectra also boasts the ability to rotate the volute of the pump to adapt to the needs of your plumbing setup.
Vectra M2 Return Pump Modes
Constant Speed - Constant Speed mode is the default mode of the Vectra, this makes the pump produce flow at a constant speed that is determined by the position of the dial.
Feed Mode - At the touch of a button the Vectra pump will temporarily pause the current mode and idle allowing food to be added to the tank without being cycled into the overflow and filtration.
Speed Lock - Speed Lock gives you the ability to lock in a desired speed on the pump by disabling the control dial protecting you from accidental and not so accidental unwanted changes in speed.
Closed Loop Modes Pump
Lagoonal Random - Lagoonal Random mode simulates a low-energy lagoon environment. The speed of the pump is changed slowly to recreate the gentle currents of a lagoon. Reef Crest Random - Reef Crest Random mode simulates a high-energy reef environment. The pump will change speed frequently and drastically to simulate crashing waves and surging tide. This is a favorite of SPS coral. Gyre Mode - Gyre mode creates a flow pattern consisting of uniform clockwise and counter clockwise flow levels pulsing at a selected interval between two seconds and two hours.Vectra M2 is Mobius Compatible
Mobius is EcoTech Marine's web-based aquarium command center. It allows you to control your Vectra pumps, VorTech pumps and Radion LED lighting from anywhere in the world through a computer or mobile device (iOS and Android supported). EcoSmart Live is loaded with features such as setup guides, flow and lighting wizards, specialty modes, and the ability to create new modes with just the click of a mouse or tap of a finger. Get real time information about your lighting and pumps or wirelessly update your product's firmware. Having issues getting the coral growth that you expectOur award winning customer service staff can log into your account and suggest changes for you.
is Battery Backup Compatible
In an aquarium with no flow, fish and corals can begin to die in as little as 4 to 10 hours. The Battery Backup is reef tank insurance in an aluminum housing. By adding the Battery Backup**, your tank is insulated from power interruptions, helping protect your valuable investment -and your tank inhabitants. *Hours are estimated and will vary depending on battery life, pump mode, and other factors.*For best performance when in return pump configuration, a Vectra Battery Backup Booster is required.
Check out Vectra Pump Advantage
Traditional AC pumps, when used as a return pump for your sump, are flow controlled through the use of a choke valve. This method of control is inherently inefficient for two reasons: 1) The AC pump purchased must often be overpowered for your given setup to allow for flexibility. 2) By adding artificial impedance to your flow, electricity is wasted. The Vectra pump will always operate at the optimum efficiency because there is no need to use a flow restricting valve to achieve your desired flow rate. When used with the Mobius App, your Vectra pump can send you performance and status alerts right to your mobile device or computer. Your return pump is the heart of your aquarium; the faster you hear about an unexpected issue the more successful you will be as an aquarist.

Caribsea Arag-Alive Bahamas Oolite Substrate - 10lb
Overview
You can now bring the world's most exotic reefs into your home with CaribSea's Arag-Alive! substrates.
Environmentally accurate ecoscapes, developed through CaribSea's cooperation with public aquariums and zoological parks where authenticity is a must, Arag-Alive! makes any aquarium uniquely yours.
Arag-Alive! makes it easy to set up an aquarium. It's ready to work, clears quickly, and contains millions of live bacteria to cycle super fast and create a natural biological balance. Arag-Alive! suppresses the dreaded "new tank syndrome", compresses the ammonia cycle, and discourages nuisance algae. In fact, independent labs prove Arag-Alive! cycles days faster than other brands of live sand. That's what makes Arag-Alive! the choice of new aquarists and maintenance companies where speed of set up, beauty, and reliability are demanded.
In an ongoing effort to improve Arag-Alive and increase ease of use, the Bio-Magnet Clarifier is no longer in a packet inside the bag. Bio-Magnet Clarifier is now added directly to the packing solution. This will eliminate looking through the substrate for a packet and makes Arag-Alive even easier to use.

Neptune DDR DOS Dual Reservoir
Overview
This attractive fluid containment system stores your dosing fluids in style and tells you when it's time to refill!
The DDR has great style and will stand out in anyone's equipment room. But it's not just about style. It may not look like it, but each side of the reservoir holds an ample two liters (2000 mL) of fluid. For most saltwater aquariums that are dosing Calcium and Alkalinity to their aquariums, this amount is more than enough to last at least two weeks. If you were dosing other additives it might last months before needing a refill.
The DDR was also designed to have a low center of gravity. This means, unlike other reservoirs on the market, it is very difficult to inadvertently tip over and ruin your day.
Features
Each side stores two liters (2L) of fluid
Connects directly to your DOSThe DDR is the only dosing container on the market that connects electrically to your DOS and uses optical sensors that alert you when your fluid has approximately 20% remaining.
Apex Fusion ReadyAlthough not required, the DDR interfaces directly into your Apex Fusion dashboard. See in real-time your fluid levels and get an alarm when a reservoir runs low.
Optical sensors inform your APEX when levels are lowOne simple connection links the DDR to the DOS. No worries about fooling around with loose wires, float switches, etc. Just plug it in and it will show up in your Apex Fusion Dashboard.
Strong, cast-acrylic construction
Low-profile - won't easily tip over
Easy to refill
Push-fit tubing connections

Neptune COR-15 Water Pump
Features
Connects to any Apex with a 1 Link port available
Up to 1500 GPH (5700 LPH)
For internal or external applications
IQ-Level sets the proper min and max flow for your aquarium
Includes over-sized 1.25" union
Energy efficient - Uses less than 50W of power!
Incredibly quiet
No power brick means clean install
Connects To Any Model Apex Via An Available 1 Link PortThe COR-15 uses a relatively new connection standard for the Apex called 1LINK. The 1LINK port provides up to 50w of power as well as the control signal to connected devices. The advantage for devices like the COR-15 is that no additional power supplies are necessary. These 1LINK ports are present on the recently released Energy Bar 832 as well as on a separate 1LINK module. Compatible With Every Apex. All COR pump models are fully compatible with every Apex system on the market. Simply connect the COR-15 pump driver to any available 1Link port on your Apex system - either an Energy Bar 832 or a 1Link module. It's that easy!Great Flow To Power RatioThe COR-15 puts out great flow while at the same time being super-stingy on power making it friendly to you wallet and the environment! Be sure to plumb the COR-15 using the largest diameter pipe possible to get the best performance.

Eheim CompactON Pump 2100
Overview
EHEIM compactON is the compact and yet powerful aquarium pump. Available in six sizes with flow rates from 170 to 5000 liters per hour.
The EHEIM compactON aquarium pump is characterized by its name due to it's compact design. The larger EHEIM compactON 2100, 3000 and 5000 can also be modified for use out of water using the appropriate accessories (included). The high quality of the materials used makes the pumps suitable for both fresh and marine water.
When compared with the original EHEIM compact/compact+, power consumption has been improved by up to 50% and the delivery head is powerful enough to make the pumps ideal for use in aquarium sumps.
In order to guarantee the silent operation of the pumps, various measures have been taken. As an example, with the EHEIM compactON 2100 and 3000, we decided to use a combination of a ceramic axle and a ceramic cover on the impeller. This also guarantees the long service life of the pumps.
With the EHEIM compactON, high safety standards have been adhered to, as with all EHEIM products, to ensure the safety of both the aquarium keeper and the aquarium inhabitants. The cables are manufactured with thicker insulation and, to safeguard the aquarium inhabitants, we only use materials that do not leak toxic substances into the water

Ecotech Radion XR15W Pro G6 LED Light
Overview
The Radion Pro is responsible for lighting public aquariums, aquaculture facilities and coral spawning laboratories worldwide. Despite this, our most important user is the discerning home aquarist. Unbeatable in balanced output the G6 PRO carries the tradition further with extra capability in the blue and UV spectrum and mind-blowing additional spread! Beautifully Balanced - Now with More Color and Mind-blowing spread
EcoTech is proud to introduce the Radion G6. The G6 furthers the success of the current Radion platform with impressive improvements in light output and color. The newest Radion features a new LED cluster and Hybrid Hemispherically Edge Illuminating optical system that takes the capabilities of the Radion from best-inclass to mind-blowing.
G6 Radion Offers Wide Color
Blue or Pro, EcoTech aims to bring you the absolute best of what's technologically possible. In the aquarium, enjoy richer colors, pop more fluorescence and create the ultimate balance between crisp and actinic. From its inception, Radion has set the standard for what full spectrum aquarium LED lighting can be. The 6th generation pushes the limits of color rendition and fluorescence without sacrificing any of the famous flexibility that caters to the desire of the user. With the addition of 395nm diodes, G6 pushes deeper into the UV range, achieving a new level of coral and fish fluorescence. Both Blue and Pro models also feature a re-balancing of color channels and LED (Diode) mix to augment the most flexible and balanced spectra available in aquarium lighting.
New Radion G6 has it all!
But how does it make your tank lookBetter than ever! The G6 Hybrid Hemispherically Edge Illuminating (HEI2) optic system combined with LED placement and form factor delivers beautiful shimmer, super color mixing, ridiculously even PAR, mind-blowing spread and even the ability to adjust the type of blue hue that you love the most. Mind-Blowing Spread! Radion G6 has spread so wide it has to be seen to be believed thanks to HEI2 Optical System
Radion G6 increases output from an impressive 110.5 degrees in the G5 to a staggering 126.3 degrees. This improvement was achievable through a change to the primary optic on the LEDs which then integrates with the geometry in the existing HEI (Hemispherically Edge Illuminating) secondary optic (lens) Radion is a winner in the cost vs. output equation. Wide even spread requires less fixtures to cover more tank. The result, incredibly even PAR over almost 4ft of coverage area, making it the highest average output Radion and perhaps the most efficient aquarium light ever madeAn added benefit of super wide spread is that the aquarium assists the optics. The output angle of the G6 results in the interior glass of the aquarium reflecting light back into the tank. This reduces shadowing and provides light to the undersides of coral.Other things to be aware when looking at G6 Radion Light
The spectrum of the G6 Pro can be matched to G5 Pro spectrum although the clusters are different - the core spectrum is the same and the flexibility of the G6 will match the equivalent G5. Peak PAR is higher on the G5 but the G6 produces more light (spread) in total.
All current RMS parts and components that are compatible with the G5 are also compatible with the G6.
G5 units are fully upgradeable to the same sized G6 units. The upgrade kit consists of a cluster, lens and necessary tools to perform the upgrade. You are able to change from a G5 Blue to a G6 Pro and vice versa as long as it's the same model size (XR15 or XR30) you can change your model version through the upgrade process. The new clusters have an additional 2-year warranty beyond the existing Radion warranty. All other product warranties remain unchanged by performing an upgrade.
Check out our downloads tab for more information on these lights. *Offer only valid with the purchase of matching LED and limited to 1 Arm per LED (maximum 2 arms per order)

Neptune Apex is Wireless Internet Ready!

Eheim CompactON Pump 3000

Neptune GRO Refugium Light - Flat Mount
Overview
The GRO is a specialized, 20W LED light designed to grow many types of common macroalgaes (i.e. Chaetomorpha) using a specialized light spectrum which maximizes photosynthesis. It plugs directly into any available DC24 port in your Apex ecosystem, or alternatively, it can also be run completely standalone.Compact Design
Compact, flat, rectangular LED grow light measures 8.7" X 6.1" X 1.4" making it the perfect fit for the smaller refugium compartments in many modern aquariums - as well as those that wish to grow macroalgae in a separate refugium.84 LEDS With Optimum Spectrum84 LEDs in four colors create an evenly distributed spectrum optimized for macroalgae growth. Two key wavelengths for algae photosynthesis are emphasized - 455-460nm and 620-670nm.Large Surface Area of Illumination with Less Spillage
Large, rectangular form promotes better algae growth, while reducing nuisance algae from light spillage, as intensity is evenly spread across a refugium area that is almost always rectangular. The GRO can effectively cover a refugium area up to 18"x24"Even Light Distribution With No Hot Spots
Round, spotlight style refugium lights, often create uneven spread of intensity. This causes hotspots that lead to algae burning or stunted growth. With the GRO, the 84 LED in a rectangular form factor create even light intensity and no hotspots.Less Nuisance Algae Due To Light Spillage
Nuisance algae on in our sumps and on our equipment is normally one of the downsides of using a refugium. Since most refugia are rectangular, the GRO projects light in a similar manner. Also, with its low-power, distributed LED design, the GRO can be placed very close to the water surface further limiting light spillage and therefore nuisance algae.IP64 Water Resistant Design
The GRO is IP64 rated which means splashes and salt spray will not take it down. This means it can safely be placed close to the water surface, maximizing light effectiveness, and reducing wasteful light spillage that often causes nuisance algae in other parts of a system.Easily Connects To A Free DC24 Port
Power the GRO using an available DC24 connection in your Apex ecosystem (on Energy Bar 832 or 1LINK module).Operates As A Standalone Light As Well
If you do not have an available DC24 port, or you wish to use the GRO without an Apex, a power supply is available so it will operate standalone. Two Mounting Options
An available gooseneck mount comes in two models: A traditional clamp style mount to attach it to the edge of your sump. And a unique pipe-clamp mount to attach it to your existing plumbing above or behind your sump.
Features
Compact LED grow light with 84 LEDs in four colors, two key spectrum ranges for optimal macroalgae growth
Large, flat area of illumination promotes better growth as it creates a much more even spread than single, spotlight-style lights.
Distributed LED design means no light hotspots that can burn the macroalgae
Less light spillage - IP64 water resistance means it can be placed very close to water - reducing the growth of nuisance algae elsewhere
Two focused wavelength bands (455-460nm and 620-670nm) for maximum algae photosynthesis
Covers a refugium area up to 18"x24"
Plugs directly into DC24 connection on an EnergyBar832 or a 1Link module.
Dimensions: 8.7" x 6.1" x 1.4" (light panel itself less than 1" high)
Works with any Apex model, including the Apex Classic family.
Operates standalone, without an Apex, with the purchase of an optionally available power supply.
Mounts using the optionally available, flexible gooseneck, with one of two clamp styles
What's Included
GRO LED Light
Flexible gooseneck mount
Flat clamp mounting bracket
Power supply is NOT included - You will need the Neptune PS-DC24 (Power Supply for 24V Devices) if you wish to operate this as a stand-alone unit.
As if touched by an artist's brush, the Mocha Vinci clownfish's stripes are extended in a beautiful way. Each fish is different, with elegant wavy lines gracing its body. Its parents are a Da Vinci and a Black Ocellaris, giving this fish's coloration is a deep, warm hue, and its stripes a beautiful swirl pattern. Two stripes will be connected on at least one side of this A grade fish.False Percula, or Ocellaris clownfish, grows up to 4 Inches and needs an aquarium of at least 15 gallons for a single or pair. Groups may be kept in larger aquariums as long as the dominant female chooses to tolerate the small fish. It works best if all individuals are added at the same time.Ocellaris clownfish are also known as False Percula for their close resemblance to their close relative the True Percula. It pairs best with its own species, but may also chose a True Percula as a mate. It is very rare for another species to bond with it; more commonly fighting occurs. True Percula and False Percula clownfish are nearly identical; the main difference is True Percula typically has a more orange color around the pupil, whereas Ocellaris eyes show more black. Ocellaris clownfish have pencil thin black lines around their white stripes, as opposed to mature True Percula who have thick black outlines. They may host with nearly any anemone species, except Atlantic species. Best hosts are Magnifica/Ritteri (Heteractis magnifica) or Carpet (Stichodactyla sp.), however Bubble Tip (Entacmaea quadricolor) and Sebae (Heteractis crispa) are also popular choices.Clownfish are hardy, easy to keep and are a perfect first fish for a new aquarium. Most species are available tank bred. They are omnivorous and easy to feed on high quality food items such as frozen Mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, and dry foods, preferably more than once a day.Clownfish are well known for their charming wiggling way of swimming, which serves them well in their natural home, within the stinging tentacles of an anemone. The exact reason clownfish are not stung is not known, but it may have something to do with the fish's slime coat. In the ocean, without the protection of the anemone, clownfish would be easily picked off by predators. In an aquarium the anemone, which has much more demanding needs than the fish, is not necessary. The fish may instead host with a soft coral such as furry mushrooms, toadstool leather, colt coral, or even within macro algae. It may choose to host within large polyp stony corals such as Euphyllia sp. as well, however the coral does sting the fish. We don't recommend encouraging them to host with delicate corals such as bubble or brain type corals, which the fish may injure with its constant swimming. Even with an anemone in the aquarium the fish will chose to host with whichever home it likes best.Clownfish may be kept singly, or more commonly in pairs, in which case the smallest more submissive fish remains a male, and the largest most dominant fish changes sex to become a female. Clowns are related to damselfish, and pairs will not tolerate other species of clownfish within their territory (which may include 50 gallons of space or more) and may fight to the death. They are prone to parasitic infections such as Brooklynella and velvet. It is common for pairs of clownfish to spawn in the aquarium, and pairs in their prime may lay eggs near their nest site as often as every two weeks. It is not necessary to interfere with the parents, who may become more aggressive at this time, chasing away other fish and nipping at their owner's hands. It is possible, though laborious, to raise the young fish at home. If a breeding effort is to be attempted, it is important to ensure the parent fish are of the same species in order to maintain genetic purity for future generations.
Neptune Apex DOS Quiet Drive Dosing Pump
Overview
The DOS is a multi-purpose Dosing and Fluid Metering System. The DOS connects to any Apex via its 1Link connection.
The true versatility and functionality of the DOS comes to life via the software wizards built into Apex Fusion. This takes dosing to a whole new level in terms of ease of use as well as functionality when compared to standalone dosing systems because the DOS is part of your Apex ecosystem.
Not only can you integrate it into other operations and devices you have configured, but we also will be continuing to expand on its capabilities as time goes on via software updates to Apex Fusion. Two Part Dosing Made Easy!
The #1 reason people purchase a dosing system for their aquariums is for consistent and easy dosing of 2-part solutions (calcium and alkalinity) to their reef tanks. The DOS wizards in Apex Fusion take this to the next level by integrating a feedback loop from your water testing to make suggestions to fine tune the amount you dose each day. Simply put in your tank size and after a few days of entering testing results, it will help you refine your dosing amounts for the demand of your particular aquarium. No more guessing. No more fooling with the timings. Water Changes
Hate doing water changes- everyone does - so they never get done as often as they should. Not only that, water changes are disruptive to the stability of your system since all of that change is happening at once. With the DOS all you do is place your empty vessel and your fresh stock of saltwater under your stand. Then, with the Apex Fusion wizard just tell it amount of water you want to change over what length of time and the hours of the day you want it to happen and it figures it all out for you. It will perform an automatic, continuous water change for you. It gets better. If you have our dual optical water sensing accessory Apex Fusion will send you an email or text message letting you know it is time to change out the jugs. Less time pumping, siphoning, and sloshing water and more time enjoying a great aquarium. Micro-Dosing of Elements
If you need to dose tiny amounts of a particular solution, element or other fluid (like vodka dosing or Zeovit systems), the DOS is the perfect solution due to its precision controlled Quiet Drive motor. This ability to control pump movement in such a refined manner means that you can dose all the way down to 0.1ml at a time!
Neptune DOS Construction
Nearly all dosing systems on the market today use a standard, DC brush-driven motor. WhyBecause it is economical. This is the same motor you might find in your child's toy car. We thought that was just not adequate for an aquarium where you might have thousands of dollars invested. So, we spent over a year searching and testing pumps and motors and decided on using a pumps with industrial grade Quiet Drive motors in the DOS - the same type of motors used in high end robotics, 3D printing, and medical equipment. So, why does it matter?
Precision - With the Quiet Drive motor pumps on the DOS, you have precise control each time you dose. And, you are guaranteed it will stay calibrated pretty much forever. On the other hand, with the standard DC motor pump found in most dosing systems, it cannot dose small quantities with ongoing accuracy and consistency. They also require ongoing calibration to account for the wear of the motor and the mechanisms. When pumps fall out of calibration, they dose either too much or too little - never a good thing considering an overdose to a tank will often be its demise.
Variable Pump Speeds - One of the great features of the Quiet Drive motors on the DOS pumps is that they can be driven at various speeds depending on the purpose for which they are being used. For instance, dosing of vodka may require the slowest possible rotation while a water change use requires a much higher pump speed. The best part is that Apex Fusion wizards automatically select the proper speed based on the use and because of the Quiet Drive motor, accuracy is not compromised even at the higher speeds.
Gearing and Drive Mechanism - The DOS uses a direct drive mechanism that will not slip, it will not strip, it will not grind to a halt. On the other hand, many other peristaltic dosing pumps used for aquariums have gears that can (and do) strip. Or, worse yet, some pumps work by using the friction of rubber rollers on the smooth metal motor shaft to make the pump spin. Foreign matter like salt creep, additives, etc. often get into the drive mechanisms of these pumps and make them fail or pump unknown amounts.
Lifespan - The Quiet Drive motor in the DOS has a MTBF (mean time before failure) of 5000 hours. Other systems with brush-driven DC motor pumps have lifespans measured of just a few hundred hours of use. This means the pumps on the DOS may have up to as much as 12x the lifespan of others.
Secure, Large Diameter Tubing Connections - Leak proof fittings are very important, not just because of the possibility of leaking fluid, but also because the leaking of air into a line would cause the pump not to meter the correct amounts. The pumps on the DOS have sure-fit compression fittings that are virtually leak-proof. Contrast this to other dosing systems on the market that still use dual-barbed fittings that commonly split the tubing and cause leakage of fluids or air. Larger size tubing means that your pump does not have to work nearly as hard - or stay on for longer cycles. The most popular dosing pumps on the market use tube fittings with the tiny diameter of 1.67mm. The DOS uses much larger tubing and fittings. In fact, at 3.33mm in diameter, the pump on the DOS can handle 4x the flow of the most common pump style on the market (pictured). This means that your pump (and motor) will run 1/4 the time to pump the same amount of fluid. Less run time means less wear on the pump mechanism, tubing and motor and extends your dosing pump's life. Larger diameter fittings also eliminate clogging - a common issue when dosing various elements like Calcium, Alkalinity, or Kalkwasser on smaller tubing pumps.
Features
Simplified Interface - Though nearly all interaction with the DOS will be done through the graphical user interface on Apex Fusion, there still is a need simplified user interface on the DOS itself. This is accomplished using a multicolor indicator for each pump to show its status as well a button to be used for priming the pump or for use during a calibration process.Replacement Parts - Changing out the peristaltic pump tubing on the DOS is a snap. Literally! All you need to do to change out the pump tubing is squeeze the pump head and remove. Then take out the tubing, replace with a new one, and snap it back on. No screws, no impossible snap on covers and no fussy loose rollers to mess with. And, because you are not changing out an entire pump head, your costs are lower as well!1Link Connection to your Apex - The DOS easily connects to your existing Apex System via a 1Link cable. All configuration and control of your DOS is done through the Apex Fusion interface on your phone, tablet, or computer from at home or anywhere in the world! And, because there are two AquaBus connections, you can daisy-chain up to 10 DOS systems together.Accessory Port - The DOS has an accessory port that will enable it to be connected to an upcoming optional accessories like the DDR - Dual DOS Reservoir. This accessory has two separate 2-liter cylinders for holding your additives. It also has optical sensors at the bottom that tell the Apex when it is time to refill and it then can send you an email or text alert. Another optional accessory will be a set of two optical level sensors you can install in the water change vessel (jug/Rubbermaid/brute) of your choice.Quiet Operation - We understand that aquariums are supposed to be serene. And noisy pumps often ruin that mood. So our engineering team has taken extensive steps both in how the pump operates as well as the enclosure design to ensure that the DOS system is one of (if not) the quietest dosing systems on the market for the fluid volumes it delivers.Stylish Yet Functional Design - The DOS was designed to compliment your aquarium - not just be a box that holds pumps. Its attractive enclosure has the pumps rotated at an outward angle to allow for the tubing to be routed with no chance of kinking, even when placed on a shelf. The DOS are also designed for stacking and they can be daisy-chained together via the AquaBus ports. Even when stacked, all tubing can be easily routed kink-free. For those that prefer a wall mount, the DOS has easy to use slots in the back so you can attach it to a wall or to the inside of your aquarium cabinet. With the exterior design, component selection, and software functionality, the DOS communicates how much total effort we have put into this product to raise the bar not only for dosing systems, but for premium aquarium products overall.Specifications

Neptune ORP Probe
Overview
Neptune now offers both the ORP and pH probes in a double-junction construction for the Apex controller - these probes are built so they hold calibration longer and have a longer lifespan than single-junction probes.
Single junction probes put the reference electrode in direct contact with aquarium water. Over time, the junction will slowly leak aquarium water into the electrolyte which changes the accuracy of the probe and requires more frequent calibrations.
Double junction probes place a second vessel inside the main electrolyte with a second internal junction. The means that even when the aquarium water eventually begins to make its way in the first compartment, it still has to go through the second junction to contaminate the electrolyte surrounding the reference electrode.
These probes will not only work with your Neptune Apex but virtually any other controller or monitor that uses BNC connections.
