Treat in a Separate Tank, Not the Display

Almost every treatment is easier, cheaper and safer in a bare quarantine tank than in a stocked display. Dosing is accurate against a known volume, nothing is absorbed by rock or sand, and no invertebrate is exposed to a product that was never meant for it. Quarantining new arrivals before they join the display is the single habit that prevents the most trouble.

Read the label and follow it exactly. Dosage, duration and compatibility with invertebrates vary by product, and the bottle instructions override anything you read elsewhere, including this page.
