The Eshopps Cliffhanger 4 Inch Filter Sock Holder provides a convenient way to add filter-sock mechanical filtration to an aquarium sump that does not already include a dedicated sock chamber. Its adjustable hanging design mounts directly to the sump wall while keeping the filter sock accessible from above for routine removal and cleaning.
Water enters through the single 1-inch bulkhead inlet and spills quietly into the included 4-inch filter sock. Clear side panels provide a direct view of the sock and water level, while integrated overflow slots offer an alternate path for water if the sock becomes restricted.

Cliffhanger 4 Inch Compatibility/Notes
The holder is designed to hang from the wall of an aquarium sump and requires enough surrounding clearance for the body, inlet plumbing and removal of the filter sock from above. Confirm the sump-wall thickness and available installation space before mounting.
The maximum recommended flow assumes that the included filter sock is clean and that the inlet plumbing is appropriately sized. Filter socks should be inspected and cleaned regularly because accumulated debris will gradually restrict water flow.
Eshopps Cliffhanger 4 Inch Directions
Position the holder over the selected sump wall and adjust the sliding clamp to match the wall thickness. Tighten the top-mounted thumb screws evenly until the holder is secure without placing excessive pressure on the sump panel.
Connect the aquarium drain line to the 1-inch inlet and insert the included filter sock fully into the cradle. Start the return pump and inspect the holder for leaks, excessive splashing or restricted flow. Clean or replace the filter sock whenever collected debris begins to reduce water movement through the material.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items

- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.

Affirm & Financing Orders
- Affirm or similar financing orders that are cancelled or returned in-store are subject to a 5% service charge. This covers the processing fee charged to us by the financing provider.
- The Affirm service charge does not apply to confirmed defective or warranty returns.
