Product Description
AquaForest KH Buffer - 1200 Gram
AquaForest KH Buffer - 1200 Gram is a reef aquarium alkalinity supplement for maintaining stable carbonate hardness, helping support pH stability, coral growth, and balanced marine water chemistry.
AquaForest KH Buffer for Reef Alkalinity Stability
Carbonate hardness is one of the most important reef aquarium parameters because it supports pH stability and provides carbonate availability for coral calcification. AquaForest KH Buffer can be used as a prepared dosing solution or for carefully measured one-time KH correction based on current water test results.
1200 Gram KH Buffer Benefits
- Maintains carbonate hardness levels in reef aquariums.
- Helps stabilize pH by supporting proper alkalinity.
- Crucial for coral health and skeletal development in calcifying reef systems.
- Dissolves quickly and is suitable for prepared dosing solutions.
- Can also be used for measured one-time KH level correction.
- Works with AquaForest Calcium, Magnesium, and Reef Mineral Salt for balanced supplementation.
- 1200 Gram size is practical for smaller reef systems or regular home dosing use.
AquaForest KH Buffer 1200g Mixing Details
- Product type: dry carbonate hardness supplement
- Package size: 1200 g
- Recommended KH level: 6.5-8.0 dKH
- Solution preparation: dissolve 80 g KH Buffer in 1000 ml RODI water
- Solution strength: 100 ml of prepared solution raises KH in 100 L by about 2.6 dKH
- Direct correction reference: 10 g in 100 L raises KH by about 3.3 dKH
- Maximum recommended daily increase: 0.5 dKH per day
KH Buffer Testing and Safety Notes
Always test KH before dosing and base the dose on aquarium consumption. Do not raise KH too quickly, as sudden alkalinity changes can stress corals. For ionic balance, use alongside calcium, magnesium, and mineral salt support when following a balanced reef dosing method.
AquaForest KH Buffer Mixing Directions
- Test current KH before preparing or dosing the supplement.
- Dissolve 80 g of KH Buffer in 1000 ml of RODI water.
- Dose the prepared solution according to water test results and daily KH consumption.
- Use the manufacturer reference that 100 ml of prepared solution raises KH in 100 L by about 2.6 dKH.
- Do not raise KH by more than 0.5 dKH per day.
- Retest regularly and adjust dosing gradually based on coral demand.
