Hydros Launch
Hydros Launch
The Launch is the perfect starting point for aquarium control. It measures pH and temperature, controls four outlets, and connects to eight wifi devices. With additional accessories, it can detect leaks, monitor water levels, track salinity, and more.
About the Hydros Launch Aquarium Controller
The HYDROS Launch is a multifaceted aquatic support system that combines various features into a single controller. It's an all-in-one solution that allows you to manage a wide range of aquarium functions easily.
The HYDROS Launch includes a pH or ORP port, a salinity probe port (salinity probe sold separately), four universal sense ports, four 12V drive ports, 0-10V input control, and four controllable AC Outlets built directly into the controller. It's a great starting point for anyone entering the HYDROS platform.
With the HYDROS Launch, you can easily monitor temperature, receive leak notifications, track pH or ORP levels, and power up to four system-critical support devices. You can also expand its capabilities by adding accessories to test salinity and alkalinity, monitor water levels, detect leaks, and power other control devices.
Whether you have a saltwater aquarium, freshwater tank, or pond, the Launch can be used as a standalone controller or integrated with other HYDROS Controllers to create a more comprehensive system.
The Hydros Launch is Versatile and Expandable without Extra Modules
Use any HYDROS device by itself or connect multiple devices as part of a larger automated aquarium system with NO single point of communication failure. Every HYDROS product is a smart device with its own CPU and scheduling capabilities.
What you can expect from your HYDROS Smart Device
Control your HYDROS device(s) from anywhere in the world using the technologically advanced HYDROS cloud-based app
Ability to monitor and control your HYDROS device(s) locally through WiFi
A fast dual-core 32-bit processor that allows control decisions to be made within each device
Internal health monitoring to report voltages, currents, CPU status, and the internal temperature of each device
HYDROS Command Bus connections to transfer data and power to devices
Drive Port - 4 Available
The Drive Ports provide switched 12V DC power for running small lights, motors, pumps, fans, and other accessories. The exact current being supplied by each port is continuously monitored by the Control, so if a motor or pump quits drawing current or draws too much, you will be immediately notified.
Accessories currently supported include:
- Auto Top-Off (ATO) pumps
- Cooling fans
- Cabinet LED lights
- Solenoids to control reverse osmosis systems
- Hydros IV
- Steering valves and relays
0-10V Port
The HYDROS Control 4 has 0-10V I/O (input and output) ports that allow it to control and receive commands from other HYDROS devices and accessories from other brands. A legacy automation system can provide input via the 0-10V Ports. They can control variable speed pumps and can also be used to monitor simple switch closures, like push buttons or float switches.
Command Bus - 2 Available
The HYDROS Command Bus is used to power the Control as well as communicate with other HYDROS devices for the ultimate failsafe.
Sense Port - 4 Available
The Sense Port is a new concept in aquarium parameter measurement. HYDROS devices include several Sense Ports. A Sense Port is a generic input port that can accept data from numerous different types of sensors.
The Hydros Controller Sense Ports currently support
- Temperature probes
- Optical level sensors (single and dual)
- Capacitive non-contact liquid level sensors
- Rope leak detectors
- Point leak detectors
- Flow rate sensors
- Magnetic switches
- Push-button switches
Salinity Probe Port - 1 Available
The Salinity Probe is a special probe port for use with conductivity probes to monitor the salinity of your aquarium's water. Salinity Probe Kit is not included but is required to monitor Salinity.
Isolated Testing Vessel
This add-on ensures that the test sample is physically separated, preventing any electric interference from other equipment in the aquarium system. HYDROS iV is not included but recommended. switches.
pH/ORP Probe Port - 1 Available
One of the most remarkable ports on the HYDROS Launch is the Probe Port. You can connect an ORP or a pH probe to the Probe Port but, this is no ordinary pH input! The circuitry is based on an ultra-high-quality input chip specifically designed for these types of probes.
Each pH input provides digital galvanic isolation from the rest of the system. Galvanic isolation prevents interference with other accessories connected to the system like motors and pumps. Digital Galvanic isolation preserves the accuracy of the measurement by converting the signal to a digital domain before crossing the isolation threshold.
Controllable AC Power Outlets - 4 Available
Four controllable AC power outlets to safely control aquarium equipment like heaters, lighting, water pumps, protein skimmers, filters, and pretty much anything else.
Features or the HYDROS Launch
- Power up to 14 amps of system-critical life support equipment
- The Control Launch is a full brain that can share and take over the decision-making of a HYDROS Collective
- Control up to 8 WiFi devices like fish feeders, smart outlets, and even additional WiFi power strips
- Command Bus port provides power add redundancy power to your HYDROS Collective
